“Great hotel but check if large outdoor pool is open before booking”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

We have just returned from a weekend visit. As has been stressed many times this is an ideal hotel for families - very relaxed and friendly. The staff, without exception, are courteous and welcoming. The spa is lovely and a real oasis with first rate therapies. We ate in the Wild Cafe as we had children with us - informal, stylish environment. Food is nicely presented and good qualtiy but not a fine dining experience. We recommend the flexible dining package. Drinks, for a hotel, are very reasonably priced. The family room we stayed in while it could do with being refurbished was clean and spacious with a beautiful view and was comfortable for two adults and two children. Rooms are in the process of being refurbished. Our only gripe is that the large outdoor pool was closed and we weren't advised of this at the time of booking. It seems that it is closed due to a change in legislation regarding swimming pool depth meaning that it can only be used if manned by a lifeguard and we were advised that a lifeguard is only employed at peak season. There is an indoor pool, however the children wanted to be outside, it was a hot and sunny weekend, and it was the attraction of the outdoor pools that had influenced our booking as the children are strong swimmers. This meant that everyone had to squeeze into the small, shallow children's pool. As a result the seating area around the pool was packed and it was an uncomfortable two hours spent supervising children with nowhere to sit which was frustrating.

Room Tip: Family rooms are spacious; a blind pulls down between the children's section and adults' sec...

I have just returned from a 4 night stay while hosting a business event at Bedruthan Hotel. Can I just say..."wow!" It was a fantastic stay but most importantly, from the moment of arrival the hotel staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. I feel as if I have new friends in this spectacular coastal getaway. I can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Just look at the sea....not much else is necessary!

We recently stayed for 3 nights at the Bedruthen hotel with our 3 little boys. This hotel is really a fantastic place to stay with children, it is completely child friendly and the little things like the hotel restaurant being fully equipped with children's cutlery, plates, bowls and bibs makes things a lot easier! We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel- it's spotless! The only negative point was the lack of air conditioning in the hotel, this is why I've given 4 out of 5. The service in the hotel is fantastic, as is the childcare on offer. We would like to say a special thank you to Natalie in childcare for looking after our boys and also to Josh in the Wild Café for your great service.

Myself, husband, 2 year old and 3 month old baby recently spent a week at The Bedruthan Hotel and I have to say it was fantastic! From the minute we arrived we felt relaxed which is not common when you have a toddler and a baby in tow. Our room was great, we had a Villa which had a separate room for the kids. The view from the room was beautiful, I don't think I would ever tire of looking out across the ocean, so stunning. Right outside our room was a patio and then a play area which our son adored. He was so happy running around on the pirate ship and jumping on the trampoline. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much, always getting us a bouncy chair for the baby while we ate. We didn't take advantage of the baby listening as we felt our baby was too little but next time I will definitely take advantage of it. We ordered room service and they even brought us cocktails to our room. The pool & spa was fab too. My only criticism was that the sandwiches at lunch were not great but this was minor. We had a really wonderful holiday and came home feeling refreshed which I never thought I would. We can't wait to come back next year!

This is possibly the best Hotel I have stayed at. The staff are so accommodating nothing genuinely is too much trouble. The view of the bay is absolutely stunning and there is nothing more relaxing than sipping a glass of something watching the waves. They have an excellent balance of family and adult space. Don't forget to try the spa, and book yourself a treatment you wont regret it. This really is ideal for all. I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Spend a bit more and have a sea room you wont regret it.

lovely hotel from the great welcome from checking in too the goodbyes. But if you are a solo traveller try and book a double room or stay at sister hotel scarlet (same owners slightly below bedruthan)as single rooms are rather small hot and stuffy due to enormous glass windows with rather small window on top for opening (you do have a fan in room as no air conditioning). the room is new has all mod cons and excelent choice of coffee teas, and loved the fridge with fresh cornish milk in!.wild cafe is fanastic great fresh food, wine without sulpher and not over expensive.ian on the bar making incredable cocktails just by interviewing you for your tastes and dislikes.great spa and pool, but book a spa day at the scarlet (especialy the journey and if you can get the therapist sarah even better)you will come out so relaxed and renewed.
this is a family orientated hotel so there seemed to be kids around even out of half term, there are quiet lounges adults only so be aware of this.

Room Tip: avoid single rooms too small hot and stuffy ( though fan supplied) modern but due to very large glas...

Bedruthan staff work really hard to make holidays at their hotel special. They are all genuinely friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly situated overlooking a beautiful sandy bay. The food is amazing at Wild cafe with a varied choice of specials (sometimes a little overpriced) and a la carte offer (much better value).
Bedruthan offers luxury and relaxation; it's not cheap but you feel special. They are very well suited to looking after young children (crèche and kids clubs) but perhaps could be cleverer at adapting their offer to teenagers For example they could open up adult only areas (like the bar terrace or hydro spa ) to over 12s if accompanied by parents. Our two teenagers enjoyed surf school and learnt quickly how to get up on a board.
