Booked for 5 nights with our 5 year old daughter. I knew the outside of the hotel was not great to look at so that wasn't a problem. Lovely big room with great view, however let down by shoddy, outdated bathroom which is a real shame. There were no real amenities in there at all which was disappointing. The restaurants were good and food was very good standard. The kids buffet could have been more varied. The kids club was great and so was entertainment. The pools were nice, bit cold to swim outdoors but the indoor was fine and the spa was very good standard. The shower in the indoor pool could have been cleaner though. Great cocktail bar which we used while our little one was in kids club. Lovely staff and overall great stay- would def return.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are nice

This is a lovely hotel with superb beach views. You can easily walk to the beach and to the coastal path. The rooms we had was a double and quite cramped but comfortable and modern.
We had a lovely meal in the Herring restaurant with a no children policy after 8pm. The food was superb and there is a good wine list too.
The hotel clearly has great facilities for families and the staff are very helpful and friendly but it is possible for guests without children to enjoy this hotel too as there is the tranquility lounge as well.

We have been to this hotel every year for the past 5 years. Once in July (it rained) but after that, in October half term, when it's a great time to go whatever the weather. I can honestly say is one of the best family hotels we ever stayed. There are so much to do, in and out of the premises and surroundings, it is impossible to get bored. And if all you want to do is to sit with a glass of wine/cup of tea and enjoy the breathtaking views, then you're spoiled for choices.
I would say, only choose the rooms view the sea views, it makes the stay much nicer and relaxing. The rooms are super clean, spacious, and more importantly, the beds are very comfortable; I never had a bad night sleep!
Food is always great, locally sourced, freshly prepared, with a very friendly staff, who can't do enough to help you. Breakfast is my favorite at the Bedruthan,: there's large variety of continental and English breakfast, from home made muesli/granola and compotes to amazing breads.
The spa (for the grown ups) has the best jacuzzi with a view and the treatments are good too, albeit a bit pricey.
If you go on school holidays, the hotel is quite packed with families/small children but we are on the same boat, so it never bothered us. There are always evening entertainment and activities for all during the day, and now that the kids are a bit older, we hardly see them during the day.
We all enjoyed the surfing lessons, and even though was probably 10 degrees in the water, with the wet suits, we had 2 hours of fun!
I would totally recommend this hotel. But again,if you don't have kids, try going when is school term...

Room Tip: Just choose the room with sea views.

We have stayed at the hotel 4 times now and it continues to be one of our favourite places. Our other children are grown up so I just took our daughter (10) . We both loved our stay and there is a lot to do at the hotel and at the beach. We stayed in a non sea view room this time as I booked last minute. I much prefer the sea view rooms. It's definitely worth the extra. We were very fortunate with the weather and it was very hot in the room although we were provided with a fan. With the window opened, it was very noisy on that side of the hotel facing the car park so I will not stay in a sea view room in future however if you only have the option of a non sea view room I would still recommend the hotel as the staff, location and food are all wonderful. We are already planning our next trip.

Room Tip: Choose sea view

This hotel has wonderful views overlooking Magan Porth beach.
I have visited Mawgan Porth many times and only recently stayed in Bedruthan as a treat during spring.
The best rooms are on the top floor and to the right of the hotel giving fantastic views over the beach and sea. The sun streams into the bedrooms and warms up during the day. You can just sit and look at the sea all day and relax!
If the weather changes which it often does in Cornwall then the restaurants and bar offer great food and drink and reasonable prices for this now up and coming part of Cornwall.
There is a child free area to relax and chill out.
If you don't want to be bothered by too many children then visit outside school holidays and bank holiday weekends as this is a haven for families looking for a fully catered holiday especially with children in mind as it caters very well for families with young children if you can afford the prices in peak summer.
I shall definitely visit again out of season for a well earned break and just to chill

Room Tip: Top floor and on the right of the hotel at the front, Rear rooms look over the car park

Ran out of fingers to count the times we have stayed here. With two children growing up the hotel still suits us and we keep coming back. The staff are just lovely, the spa is a haven, the rooms are well kept, the childcare is very good indeed, food is super, entertainment is just right but that view.....priceless!

We have been here four times now, and it's always been an excellent family holiday. The kids' clubs are great, and our eleven year-old's interests and needs were very well met. The overall hotel facilities are superb. Everything is clean, smart and comfortable. We also appreciate how as much as possible is made environmentally sustainable. All the staff were welcoming, attentive and cheerful. The food is always great - eating in the Wild Cafe is always something to look forward to in the evening. A perfect family holiday.
