Waited an hour and a quarter for food. Only ordered two starters between four of us and they forgot one of those. Poor service and poor quality food.
Not good at all.

We went in as a party age ranging from 6 to 75. The adults had fish n chips, got to say very average for the price ( £12 ) the fish was in beer batter. The outside of the fish was crisp but the inside was very mushy, not raw but not fully cooked. The children had fish bites with chips. The only problem was the batter was the beer batter and the children did not like it.

Called to make a reservation the night before for a party of 7 adults and 7 young children. Arrived the next evening to find the staff had reserved the upper floor for our sole use, perfect for a relaxing meal after a fun day out with kids who were by this time feeling a little tired and drained.

Nothing was too much trouble. The kids were swiftly served with jugs of cordial while the parents got a chance to sample some proper Cornish ale. The girls serving whilst young, we're great and very helpful, a credit to the staff.

The kids food came quickly and the adults soon after. You can't go wrong with the menu. Nothing too fancy, just good, fresh, wholesome grub at a fair price. We all ate fish, you'd be mad not to considering it comes fresh from from the sea just a few feet away.

All in all a great meal, in great surroundings, served by great staff. Would go back for sure.

We didn't sample desert as the kids all wanted ice cream so we popped into the most amazing little ice cream shop next door and were served by the sweetest lady ever who made sure 14 kids (including the 7 big kids) all got the exact ice creams they wanted, flakes, sprinkles, and a multitude of cones and tubs included.

The evening ended with a relaxing walk around the harbour taking in local fishermen line fishing off the harbour wall and a multitude of kids crabbing around the harbour edges.

A relaxing end to a fun filled day.

We found our own table waitress just checked how many, looked at the menu and waited and waited and waited finally asked other customers if you order or waitress service as the waitress passed us many times but said nothing !! Eventually we went to the till to order would have been nice if there was something on the menu to say order at bar !!!! Idea !!! Queued for quite a while only to be told at 1 o'clock they had ran out of cornish Pasties !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Find that hard to believe in cornwall !!!!!!' So ordered the kids Pizzas oh dear no pizzas so had to go back to the table to choose again and then had to queue again placed order . Order arrive took about 20 mins not bad when arrived we ordered a toasted sandwich arrived but was not toasted !!!! Ordered haddock and chips waitress brought cod and chips was too afraid to tell her as we had already been waiting nearly forty minutes and we were very hungry . Too be fair the food was delicious and hot . But you need to sort out greeting of customers and telling them how the restaurant works as we saw two families leave as they were not told about ordering !!!!!

My wife and I have been coming to Mevagissey for the last 22 years and this has to be the worst meal we have ever had anywhere. Fish & chips with bread / butter, batter was soggy, chips where Fries and bread and butter seemed to be more like toast. Sardine salad - sardines were so over cooked I thought they were still in the tin, salad consisted of 2 slices of tomato, 2 slices of cucumber and 20 different leaves of lettuce and 10 new potatoes. No sugar on table, no tea spoon for Tea after asking waitress on 2 occasions. Very poor. Staff need a big wake up call. Plenty of people looking for work out there, so Staff buck up Ur ideas!
Owners - pay peanuts u get monkeys!!
