We absolutely loved the Old Parsonage. The decor is stunning and Tim and Izzy were very welcoming. They had thought of absolutely everything including fresh milk for tea, and adorable tea cosies on the pot. It was a lovely place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The Old Parsonage lives up to its reputation as a Family run B&B, Izzy and Tim go to extreme lengths to make your stay a comfortable as possible. They have an extensive local knowledge of where to visit and eat etc
The breakfast options are amazing

Room tip: Our room, no 1 was just perfect.

A lovely b&b in the heart of the village, only a few steps from the harbour, restaurants and shops, and short walk from beaches. Sparklingly clean, wonderful breakfast, very tasteful decor, extremely comfy beds, warm, friendly owners who really cannot do enough to make your stay pleasurable. I could easily have stayed here 2 weeks and I will certainly be back. Can I give it 11 out of 10?

Room tip: My single room (No 4) was larger than the usual single room, well equipped, full sized bathroom, and very comfy bed.

Highly recommended - Part of the new generation of excellent B&B hosts - who couldn't do enough to help, from greeting us with a drink to arranging discount tickets for Heligan.

Excellent breakfast - try the specials - you'll be glad you did. Izzy is an excellent cook too.

Well equipped room with lots of thought given to their design - our bijou ensuite needed to be a wee bit bigger for me - but it was a lovely, spacious and comfortable 1st floor room with a great bed and lovely bedding.

Worth checking the map and parking options to save driving round the village streets - lots of tourists cars with scuffed bumpers and mirrors missing around. And it's a good spot to walk everywhere from.

Take cash - or get cash back at the grocery - no ATM in town. Get fish and chips and sit on the sunny side of the harbour (good coffee, cake and ice cream near those benches too) - the restaurants look good but aren't cheap....

One last thing - when in town, it's got to be "the fishermans chippy" all the way. The recommended quayside van doesn't use real potatoes - but that's my fault for asking a slim, healthy southerner (Tim) about chips. Bit like him asking me about houmous. It could only end in tears.

Great little guesthouse - good luck to them.

Room tip: 1st floor king was great - not sure I'd sleep well at street level (I'm a country mouse).

How does one experience the BEST holiday/vacation ever? You surround yourself with a delightful couple (Tim and Izzy) who share their passion for the charming fishing village of Mevagissey and surrounding areas in a wonderfully decorated, comfortable, B&B where breakfast is a gastronomic experience.
Without a doubt, our three night stay at Old Parsonage was our favorite of sixteen days in the UK although we loved it all. Hoping to return soon!
