“Very clean and cosy hotel”

My partner and I stayed here 18 months ago in April 2012 for only one night and are still looking back fondly on our stay. It was so lovely that it was high time I wrote a review. We had a double sea view room and walked down to the town in the evening which was enchanting. It was a great place to stay between visiting the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan just up the road. Beautiful building with classy wood panelling downstairs. Great breakfast and welcoming hosts. You won't regret it.

We have always wanted to visit the Eden Project in Cornwall and booked a 2 night stay at the Trevalga Court Hotel near Mevagissey this October. The hotel was very pleasant, extremely clean and located on the cliff overlooking the sea. We had a magnificent view from our 1st floor room which was a bit on the small side but extremely comfortable. There was a lovely lounge with a log fire and large window seat with stunning views for a pre-dinner cocktail or afternoon tea. Dinner choice was good and well prepared with attentive staff. Breakfast was typical Cornish that set you up for the day. It was a splendid location from which to visit the Eden Project and other places of interest in the area. Just wish they could do something about the weather. I would certainly return.

Located at the top of a cliff above a beach with step access. 1930's Hotel beautifully rebuilt from an old Yorkshire manor house. Stunning views and food was superb. Went on a Secret escape deal and value for money was second to none, highly recommended.

The food was to an excellent standard and we could not find fault in it. The hotel was very welcoming, warm and cosy. Our bedroom was immaculate with amazing views of the sea. We also had the afternoon cream tea with champagne which was perfect in every way. Mevagissey is very hilly and a quiet town which is perfect for a couples break away to relax. The beach at the bottom of the hotel garden was quiet and peaceful with a splendid waterfall on one of the cliff faces. Overall a wonderful hotel with friendly staff and an amazing atmosphere!

It was truly a memorable experience for us as a family as it was our daughter's first out of town trip. We stayed there during a quiet time of the year. Truly a lovely getaway from the chaotic life in the city. The place was refreshing! The hotel was very homely and the staff were very accommodating. It has great views of the sea and comfortable beds, unique interiors but very well mixed together. It has a beautiful (but i would say, daring) hike to the sea but obviously when you get there, it's worth it as the view is absolutely stunning also it is not too far from the harbour where all the shops are. The breakfast menu was extensive. Would definitely love to come back and stay during the summer. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: we had the family room that was in the middle. i forgot which room number. but it had a lovely view...

No hooks in the room, basic phone, plastic water cups.Decor not exactly our taste but could impress. Flashy mix of 1920's house with modern shower in room (no shower curtain and step down from it into room). Quite wet and hopeless unless you have flipflops for re-entry. An odd mix of art in the house...some interesting. Femme decor.Bedside tables and their lights impractical.NO BATH. Skant staff youngish and a few hiccoughs.More of a house. Strange reception/office/vestibule/bar. Generally very nice.Would recommend.

Room Tip: Front room over the lounge seems to be the best. It might have a bath?
