“We had a lovely time!”
Reviewed 12 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We had a lovely time at Seafarers Watch. Is's a spacious and luxurious cottage. It has everything you need. Nice vieuws. Short walk to the harbour. Walking back after a good dinner is challenging....
Mevagissey is a beautifull village with nice shops and restaurants.

“Delightful cottage”
Reviewed 8 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

I can only reiterate what other people have said, this is a very well-equipped and comfortable cottage. We loved the fact that the owners left us all the necessary items for a cream tea as well as some freshl flowers. We found it ideal as a base for our holiday, especially as it has a parking space.

It is just like staying in someone's home as it is filled with lovely ornaments, there is a nice selection of books and there's a games box of some sort together with a pile of games and also what looked like dvds. There are even pot plants which add to the homely feel. The kitchen is very well equipped with high-quality appliances.

We slept really well as the bed was very comfortable and the double glazing is extremely effective against the noisy herring gulls and the neighbours' cockerel.

We went out most days and were pleased to find that even places such as Penzance were not too far to travel (about 1hr and a quarter). St Austell is only 15 mins and has at least 3 supermarkets, we used the new Aldi.

As others have stated there is no wifi but a neighbouring house has BT and we found the hotspot signal was very strong. If you're not a BT broadband customer you can pay to use the hotspot.

It is a steep walk down to Mevagissey Harbour and it's not worth the hassle of driving. There are lots of places to eat or just have a coffee or cream tea. There are some shops for the basics.

I would quite happily stay here again as I really enjoyed our stay.

“A good place to stay”
Reviewed 4 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

I read a lot of reviews about Seafarers Watch before I booked it and they were all good. I'm pleased to say that this cottage really is as good as everybody says it is. Getting a car in and out can be a bit of an adventure due to the steep narrow road and drive but one gets used to that. The cottage is clean, comfortable and has all one needs for a good holiday.

“Home from home”
Reviewed 21 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Love this place. Clean, tidy, everything you would want to put your hand on. Our friend who came with us wants to live there forever. Whatever you looked for, whether it was a tea towel or a tissue, it was there. The beds were comfy, the view was excellent, the instructions for anywhere were accurate and interesting. You really couldn't want for anything better than being in your own home. Lovely village/harbour. We were certainly fitter when we came home than when we went. Great!
Have a look in the aquarium in the harbour and take a walk around to watch the waves. Try the Fortune pub and the little grocery store. Perfect place for a holiday.

“First class”
Reviewed 9 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

First time we have stayed in this accommodation.

First impression was that the place was clean and tidy, inviting with a great view.

It's like being at home with sea views as there is everything you could wish for in the accommodation, hair dryer, iron, washing machine, fridge, cooker, TV, DVD player, towels, pots, pans, cutlery, comfortable beds, comfy chairs and sofa.

The accommodation is in a great location, just a short walk to the village, there is a hill to walk up on the way back from the village but you do get used to this after a day or two. Directions to the cottage are given by the owner and are easy to follow.

You will get a great nights sleep here as the beds are comfortable and it is s quiet neighbourhood.

There is so much to do in the village and surrounding area, with bars and restaurants a short walk or drive away.

We would not hesitate to stay here again as we had a lovely holiday, thanks very much.

“Excellent cottage”

This was a lovely cottage, it has its own parking which is rare in Mevagissy.

The cottage was furnished very nicely and had everything we needed including a washing machine which was great as it rained most of the week. It is situated in a great position for the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.

The restaurants in the Harbour were lovely and I would really recommend the Harbour Inn and although the Sharkskin had lovely food the waiting was lengthy and they got our order wrong.

We were left a lovely cream tea by the owners and fresh flowers.

The only problem I had was the very steep hill leading to the property this is extremely steep and if you have any kind of walking difficulties I wouldn't recommend this property but most of the town is on a steep hill unless you are situated in the harbour.

Just a wonderful Cornish cottage. Extremely Clean and comfortable. Everything you could need in a holiday home.
Stunning views of the sea and Mevagissey. Allocated parking a real bonus! Was Rather a steep climb up the hill from the harbour But once up you have this little gem to relax in. Just perfect! Thank you so much to the owners
