We had 5 days here over the New Year - it wasn't long enough. We enjoyed the whole experience - a beautifully appointed apartment, great location and a view to die for. It was truly special and we can't wait to go back.

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property? Overall condition of the property

Liked best: The view
Liked least: The walk back up the hill after too much food and drink !!!

“Somewhere Special”

As many have already stated - the views from this apartment are fantastic. But aside from that the apartment itself is first class - from it's excellent lay out, quality furniture and virtually everything you need for the perfect self catering holiday. As purpose built apartments - the noise suppression is good and we rarely had noises from other apartments.

Nothing in life is perfect - and though I would highly recommend this apartment - there are a few things for people to be aware of.

Firstly the parking space is extremely tight - and between two pillars - fortunately you can use the guest parking space - so not a significant issue.

Secondly - it is only 5 minutes from Mevagissey - but that 5 minutes is down and up a steep hill - so if you have mobility problems please be aware (it is the price for the view I suppose).

Thirdly - the balcony is adjacent to another balcony and there is no screen - so as mentioned by another guest could be off putting (or could be a chance to make a new friend). Wasn't an issue for us.

Last - the mattresses are on the soft side - my wife loved them, but a bit soft for me. Again not a deal breaker by any means.

We have visited Meva several times over the last few years - and would recommend this pretty fishing village to anyone. This apartment represents excellent self catering accommodation in an enviable position - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Cornwall - just be aware of the hill (though the exercise is a welcome excuse to have another pint of Rattler in the Sharksfin).

The house is great! And the view is unbelievable! We stayed for four days, but we really wish we should stay for couple more days. It is very close to the little town down hill where you can find restaurants, bars, shops. There is also ships that you can take for coast view tour. And the whole process of renting the house and get in house is so smooth and professional! We will definitely come back again!

“Lovely apartment in a very nice little fishing village”
Reviewed 8 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Mevagissy is a nice little fishing village very close to lots of eastern Cornwall attractions such as the Eden project.

We had plenty to do to fill a week just in and around the village (within 20 miles) so had an excellent holiday.

The apartment is lovely with excellent views over the harbour. Breakfast on the balcony every morning was a treat, Only a few of the apartments in the complex were occupied during our stay which made for a quiet, relaxing time. We assume this is because most apartments are holiday homes and not rented out. All furnishings and fittings are of a high quality and everything was spotlessly clean.

Can highly recommend.

Liked best: quietly relaxing on the balcony.
Liked least: the road up to the property is very narrow (only did it once!).

We expected oceans edge to be very nice after looking at photos and reviews , but we where simply blown away with just how perfect it was , From the instant we arrived we felt we where at home and the welcoming bottle of bubbly chilling for our arrival was a lovely touch. The whole apartment is so beautifully and tastefully decorated that it truly was a pleasure to stay here, The bed linen , kitchen area , Bathroom where all utterly spotless ! and it really had a unique and calming atmosphere . The balcony was the perfect place to begin each day drinking coffee and eating croissants whilst watching the little fishing boats coming and going from the Harbour bellow , it was also the perfect place to relax in the evening with a glass of wine and be soothed by the sound of the sea .
Mevagissey has so much to offer and we hardly used the car as it was all in very short walking distance . Cosy quayside bars n restaurants , lovely shops selling local artists work and crafts all made for a truly enjoyable family holiday. The surrounding area is all so unspoiled and within minutes walk from oceans edge you can find yourself on a remote cliff path or a hidden cove , .
quite simply this is the best cornwall holiday weve ever had and weve been coming here for 20 years ! highly recommend oceans edge you will not find better value for money anywhere I guarantee you will not be disappointed !! Mike , Alison Holden

“A SPECIAL LOCATION”
Reviewed 7 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Lovely apartment with everything you could want and THE most fantastic view of Mevagissey Harbour and Carlyon Bay. Balcony not very private (one next door 3 feet away), but apartment generally quiet. Less than 10 minutes walk to Mevagissey with a number of good eating places on the harbour front. Parking space a bit tight, but there are visitor spaces. The complimentary bottle of Champagne was a very welcome touch. Highly recommended.
