We have recently returned home from a most enjoyable two week stay at the Treloen Holiday Apartments Mevagissey, our ninth holiday over eight consecutive years at this, our most favourite Cornish holiday retreat and are currently in the process of arranging a further two weeks stay for around the same time next year. We have stayed in a total of five of the apartments at both the upper and lower levels over that period and have always found the accommodation to be well equipped very clean and large enough to satisfy our requirement even when friends and family have surprised us with unexpected visits. Overlooking Mevagissey Bay and Chapel Point the apartments location (in my opinion) can not be bettered, facing approximately due east and weather permitting the complex is bathed in sun shine from sun rise well into the late afternoon and early evening. As well as that magnificent view there is the sound of the sea lapping at the base of the cliffs and a nearby beach and an abundance of sea birds including gulls, cormorants and even a Kestrel to watch. The couple who run the holiday apartments Pat and Rob always make us very welcome and over the years have attended to our every need without question, they are friendly and accommodating without being either overbearing or intrusive.
The only drawback with staying at the Treloen Holiday Apartment as far as I am concerned is the distance and time it takes to get there and the fact that our stay is never long enough.
The Treloen Holiday Apartments at Mevagissey make an ideal base for exploring not just the South coast of Cornwall but the whole of the County, plan your travels well and you will find that not only can you reach the North coast of Cornwall with relative ease, but also that a visit to the Lizard and Lands End can be achieved on a day trip out. If you don’t want to drive to far there are a number of Village’s Beaches and Attractions Locally that you might want to explore there are also various Shops, Pubs and Restaurants in and around the location that you might like to visit
The Treloen Holiday Apartments, Mevagissey and the Cornwall experience more than meets my criteria for an enjoyable holiday irrespective of the Weather.
Holiday 19th September to 3rd October 2009. Weather changeable some Sun overcast one rainy day when we visited Padstow on the north Coast.

PS: Be careful if you use the steps that descend to the outer Harbour from the park at the top of Polkirt Hill they are treacherous when wet. Descending them on one’s backside is: “NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED!”
