We have just returned from a fantastic weekend 'glamping' in a pod on this National Trust-owned site.
We were welcomed by Steve the site manager, who was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our brief stay.
The site is still in 'transition' and there are more upgrades to come to the toilet/shower blocks etc, however what was available was clean and the showers were lovely and warm.
There is a play park for the children that could be overlooked from our pod, so we could keep an eye on our little one whilst relaxing.
The campsite was quiet this weekend which was a joy as it was so peaceful and we had the pod area to ourselves. It may feel less so if the other pods were all occupied, but there is still plenty of space and a wooden table/chair set is assigned to each pod.
Possibly the best bit about the pods is the provision of 4 excellent quality/comfortable mattresses. This eliminated the need to take bulky camp beds/mats to sleep on.
Whilst we BBQ'd both nights, it is just a mile to the village of Mullion Cove and the local pub. Might be nice to bike it....
All in all, a fab site, run by a lovely man with beautiful sea views. A great weekend had by all.
