We tried this hotel with a special offer two nights Dinner Bed and Breakfast with the addition of a special rate for the spa treatment. We found it a good hotel and all the staff were very good and helpful, only one comment the waiters did not quite understand the orders sometimes and the food arrived which we had not ordered on more than one occasion! Saying that when it did arrive it was very very good and we could not fault it.
Although a family hotel, they seemed to be able to cope with small children and we were not aware of them at any time,as they seemed have different meal times and various activities to help parents also enjoy themselves.
The views from the hotel are fantastic and we were lucky enough to be up graded to a front view room which was very comfortable, all in all a delight to stay in.

Room Tip: Sea facing is a must and in our case ground floor

We booked a very reasonably priced Travelzoo 2 day break at the begining of March and were certainly not disappointed. Although we arrived in torrential rain and high winds, after drying off, we were soon able to enjoy the spectacular views of the sea from the enormous picture window in the Vista lounge. The coastline is beautifully rugged and a photographer's paradise.

The hotel has recently been refurbished and the decor is of high quality and tasteful. Our room and the public areas were spotless and the staff universally friendly. An error on my restaurant bill (partly my own fault, as I signed the bill!) was rectified without question at checkout. Breakfast was very good, with an "all you can eat" buffet, as well as cooked options. Evening meals were also of a good standard, although some dishes a touch on the salty side for our taste - it can always be added on the plate! House wines were decent and reasonably priced.

All in all, a brilliant break and the hotel can be highly recommended.

Visited last week with a group of friends. The whole stay from the moment we booked till we left was outstanding. It was refreshing to stay in place that is clearly being extremely well managed with a dedicated team of staff who went out of their way to ensure the 3 night break for all 18 of us was exceptional. The food was excellent and the staff knowledgeable and friendly - to mention a few Pedro at breakfast deserves special mention as did Holly in the evening. It was wonderful to stay somewhere that gave you the strong impression everyone cares and I know we will all return. The location is stunning even when the weather is not great. Cannot recommend more highly. A complete joy.

Fantastic location perched on the cliff just outside mullion. The rooms are comfortably furnished. Public rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are friendly. Evening meal was excellent - breakfast very good. Bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on.

It would be hard to find a hotel of this standard anywhere in the U.K. We arrived at hotel during the terrible storms of February 2014. We were upgraded to a sea facing room, a very nice gesture on behalf of the management. We had a brilliant view of the unbelievably rough sea as the hotel stands on high ground, the sea spray hit the windows and surf bubbles would pass at enormous speed. Inside the Polurrian away from the mayhem outside all was great. The food was very good with a varied choice for Dinner and Breakfast. Staff were without exception very friendly and all seemed happy with their work. An extremely good hotel for us and the staff. The Lizard is an interesting backwater of England with beautiful scenery and is worth visiting in all seasons of the year. We will be back!

My husband was bought a trip for two as a birthday present from travel zoo and it didn't disappoint! We were upgraded to a sea view room which was beautiful, very clean and comfortable.

Having read some of the reviews on here I was concerned it would be a little too child friendly but this was not the case. There was a good, friendly atmosphere.

The were a couple of niggles - the was a bit of a tide line on the jacuzzi, a bit of mould in our on suite and the wiater at dinner had a bit of a sarcastic attitude which made us feel a little uncomfortable.

These were minor things though and the food was amazing, really, really amazing.

We would love to visit again and would be delighted to recommend this place to friends and family.

The hotel is positioned overlooking the sea in a fairly remote area. Nice cliff walks nearby. The staff were very helpful, the room was a nice size and very clean.
The food was good however I had a bit of trouble the first night getting it hot, so make sure you insist. The drinks are hotel prices, so not cheap.
Room 110 has a sea view if you stand up or lie on the bed. You are denied a proper view sitting down, by the glass roof of the lounge downstairs.
Overall the experience was very good and I would definitely go there again.

Room Tip: If you want a sea view there are better rooms than 110.
