This place tucked away at Mullion cove is just a dream away from it all holiday, ideal for a relaxing holiday 1st class interior as well as all electrical up to date facilities. The coastal path within 2 minutes walk of lodge. The staff very helpful especially leanne on reception who made our extended holiday so wonderful thankyou so much ,cant wait to return.

Room Tip: stayed in 8 berth lodge very light & spacious , most comfortable bed i,ve ever slept in.

Things to be aware.....
1. We were there 31/5-6/6 whilst some building work was being done as although they tried their best to not make noise, the reality is with building work you will make noise and if you like a lay in bed, this will be disturbed at 9am

2. There is zero mobile phone signal at all. Which when wanting to get away and switch off from everything else is useful. But when the reception shuts at 5pm and all you have for problems is a mobile number on the door to call.... You can see the problem here. They do have a pay phone on site however I think an improvement they could make is a free direct dial from the pay phone to the "emergency contact number" we paid over £1 for a 20 second phone call as it charged as soon as it started calling. The positive is they sorted our issue.

3. Mullion cove/harbour in my opinion is not worth a visit. Poldhu cove which is approx 3 miles away is better by far. With access to the sea, and a small beach.

4. Take either spare towels or washing powder. You get given a bath towel each on arrival, this is not changed at all and so since they provide washing facilities you will need washing powder to keep towels fresh.

Things that are good....
We were in lodge 5....
1. Free parking outside of your lodge
2. Washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, fridge, dishwasher, cooker and microwave all in kitchen
3. Wii (although not games cost extra so take some)
4. Tv, DVD player, iPod player and fire in lounge
5. Tv and iPod Dock in bedroom

Would we stay here again? Since we live 8hours / 500 miles away probably not. However if similar lodges were 3/4 hours away then defiantly

We have just returned from a three night stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The accommodation has a New England/Coastal style and was equipped extremely well. The beds were really comfortable, I often struggle to sleep when I am away, but not this time.
The only suggestion I made to them was that there was only one mirror in the main bedroom- that was fine this time as I was there with just my husband and son, but if you had gone with friends, I could see that the ladies would be queuing up to dry their hair and put their make up on, in the one room!
A nice, small, quiet park just a short walk from Mullion Cove harbour. Not for you if you like clubhouses and nightlife. We will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: The lodges on the right of the park are quieter as they are away from the road and walkers cannot se...

Stayed at Mullion Cove Lodge for a 4 nights stay this week and had a lovely time. Five people and two dogs came along and the Lodge was spacious and comfortable and things like Wii were a great addition (bring our own games though as none are provided).

We were disappointed though and despite only being approx a year old, the Lodges were showing signs of wear and tear (TV's missing, marks/gouges in walls) and were starting to look a bit shabby in places. The level of cleanliness was also disappointing. During our stay the boiler was serviced (no bad thing) but was deemed unsafe and so we were offered an alternative. Working in a similar industry, don't know why servicing had to take place during our stay (why not done before or after)? With boiler condemned, we used another Lodge for showering for the majority of our stay. This also proved useful as we were able to get spares from the other caravan when bits of inventory such as chopping boards and tin openers were missing from our Lodge! Therefore all in all, concerned how long they can maintain the standards and what maintenance plan they have in place for the Lodges to ensure the Lodges are consistent. Like other people have commented - the complimentary welcome pack was not evident (no chocs for example) but milk on arrival was appreciated.

We were really lucky with the weather and enjoyed some lovely days out. Mullion Harbor is seconds away and the walk to Poldhu is stunning on a sunny day and great for dogs. Lodges are also well sited for exploring West Cornwall.

Would return again, but would be concerned what state the Lodges would be in given another 12 months or so of trading.

Thank you for your review and the points you have raised have all now been rectified and apologise if this hindered your stay in any way.

We have Wii games available in Reception that is mentioned in the welcome brochure that are for hire and have now advertised this more openly so our guests are aware.

The team are continuing to work to maintain the lodges and can assure you they will be of a high standard as we continue to deliver a fantastic retreat and home from home.

The park is open all year round and we aim to ensure when servicing is carried out it is at minimal disruption to our geusts.

Thank you for choosing Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat and do hope you choose to return again.

This was our first trip to this part of Cornwall and we came away from our Easter break with some fantastic memories.

Our first praise has to go to Leanne who was extremely helpful prior to our booking, on arrival and during our stay. She patiently answered every question we had when we were considering booking and while we were there. She also went out of her way to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. Thank you so much Leanne - you deserve a pay rise!!

Second thing that impressed us was the care that was taken to make sure the hot tub was hot, clean and working well. Very impressed. Thank you to the lovely hot tub man Chris!

Now, the lodge....cosy, modern, clean and well equipped with Wii, games, towels, bathrobes, cling film, foil, little welcome pack (no chocolates - sad). There isn't a lot of worktop space in the kitchen and one area is taken up with the microwave (glad to have it), so having a good size dining table in the living area was handy. We did take a few kitchen essentials which we were glad of but not everyone would necessarily want/need (eg plastic containers for storing food, extra baking trays - we like making pizzas!).

With the hot tub and a table and chairs on the deck, there isn't much space left but it would be nice to have a lounger of some sort as an option, if one wanted to rest on the deck.

We did have to ask for the window keys as we couldn't open bedroom windows - this was rectified swiftly. We also noticed that the carpet hadn't been vacuumed well in one bedroom - this was noted and we were told it would be raised with cleaners. Apart from that the lodge was immaculate, very modern, lovely bedding, duvets and pillows. Bed very comfortable. Shame king size beds would be too big to fit in the main bedroom. Only one bedside table could fit in the main bedroom with the double bed. Cosy.

The lodges with hot tubs are more expensive and we were lucky to get a good last minute deal. Not sure if we'd have gone if there hadn't been a discount so we were glad it was affordable.

The best lodges in our opinion are next to the stream and a hot tub is a MUST after a long day hiking 9 miles(!), surfing, exploring, etc. Some lodges could feel overlooked near the main, although small, road and by other lodges. The lodges are fairly close together and are accessed via the road down the middle of the park. We do like our space so we weren't sure if we'd feel confined. However, we got used to the compact feel of the park and the smooth access road was perfect for kids to scooter/skateboard up/down!

We appreciated having the locked gate at the main entrance too..

We had our groceries delivered by lovely Tesco man too! Never done this before on holiday and it worked really well.

We had great weather which helps and we were able to easily explore the area on foot/bike or drive further afield such as Land's End, Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Minack Theatre.

Thank you Leanne, Chris and Mullion Cove Lodge Park for helping us to have a great family holiday.
