Very up market but lovely and not really expensive when you see where it is.

Fantastic views from the tables in the bar which are at the front of the building and look out over the Atlantic. There is a more formal restaurant which is elegant but does not have the same views.

Everywhere is beautifully decorated and furnished with many of the original architectural features preserved making you feel as if you have stepped back in time into a much more elegant era.

Pleasant garden with more wonderful views.

The lunchtime food was extremely good and the local real ale very nicely kept

Our family stayed at the Mullion cove hotel in July and the hotel and views were spectacular! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The view from our room was like a postcard with the cove, cliffs and beautiful blue and green ocean right in front of the hotel. We couldn't have asked for a better escape for photography and hiking. Sunset was amazing as we had dinner on the patio. We highly recommend a visit to this hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room!

This was given to us for an Anniversary present from our children and we stayed in March 2012. We stayed in a suite overlooking the sea and it was sheer luxury. The suite was huge with an enormous bathroom. The toiletries, bathrobe, slippers were divine. We had fruit, cake and champagne on ice. The huge windows gave us picture perfect views of the sea and we settled in the comfy chairs and sofa enjoying tea and cakes on a sunny early spring afternoon. Our meal was exquisite and definitely somewhere I would return to. The downside was the layout of the restaurant . We had somewhat noisy old folks on the table next to us which was too close for comfort. Pricey to stay but very luxurious.
.

Room Tip: The suite was fantastic but lovely.

This hotel has one of the best views in the world looking over the cliffs towards the bird nature reserve of Mullion Island. The sunsets are out of this world. Access by car is easy. And there is ample free parking. We booked a sea view room but were a little disappointed that when we arrived it was only a partial sea view, never the less our experience at the hotel was first class. The staff are friendly and helpful. We booked the dinner option and were very happy with the selection of food each night with superb service from the bar and restaurant. A large group of German Tourists were also eating but this did not affect our service. I particularly liked the fish and lobster options. The hotel is at the end of a road so there is little or no traffic and it is wonderfully peaceful and quiet with the sound of the sea and birds. There is a steep walk down to Mullion Cove or a level walk along the cliffs with breath taking views and lots of benches to sit on and admire the scenery. We stayed for 3 nights and hope to return Summer or Winter

Room Tip: Get,a sea view if you can but make sure it is a full sea view.

I recently had 2 meals at this hotel, the first with a friend who was staying with me for a few days, the second with a group of friends who were visiting the area on business. On both occasions the hotel proved to be a delightful place for an informal, relaxed meal - good value for money and leaving us with great memories. We sat outside to begin with to admire the sunset over the cove, the moved indoors to the bar. The staff could not have been more helpful, ensuring a bottle of chilled white wine was ready on the table and generally being attentive but not pushy. The food arrived in good time and was very well prepared and presented. I chose local fish with chips, my friends had a range of dishes, one vegetarian, another steak. All were impressed with the quality. The hotel was refurbished about a year ago and is set in stunning surroundings. It is now my "go to" eatery in the area.

We recently dined at the Mullion Cove Hotel with friends for lunch and the setting and location of this hotel are exceptional. However, as a vegetarian the single choice that was available to me on the Sunday lunch menu was without doublt one of the worst vegetarian dishes i have ever tried.

I actually did not eat the meal, it was dry, overpowering with spice and generally unpleasant. When the waitress collected our plates and i gave my opinion i was greeted with a vague indifference to my comments. In fairness to my fellow companions who are carnivores, they generally enjoyed their meal. It is about time that restaurants put some effort and imagination into their choices for vegetarians.

My Mum and I had a nice afternoon tea at the Mullion Cove Hotel today. It is a lovely looking hotel on the cliff top of Mullion Cove. When we arrived we were given a choice of where we would like to sit for our tea - in the bar or one of the many lounges. We chose the bar area, as we prefer a proper table to eat at.

We had a choice of tea or coffee (mind the milk jugs, they drip). Our afternoon tea arrived on a slate three-tier cake stand. It consisted of: four open sandwiches (2 smoked salmon with capers and pea shoots, and 2 parma ham with rocket) two scones (1 sultana, 1 plain), two slices of lemon cake, two small squares of dark chocolate mousse, two small shortbread discs, and two mini cakes with sesame seeds on. It was all very nice but I enjoyed the open sandwiches the most, the bread was lovely.

The staff were very friendly but we did have to go and find one when we wanted some more hot water and milk.

Over all the meal was really nice. The cost was £25 between two of us which is a good price conpaired to other afternoon teas that we have had elsewhere. We had a look at the main food menu on the way out and decided that we would return another day for a lunch. I imagine this would be a nice hotel to stay at, the decor is excellent and it is well maintained and clean.
