We arrived a little early yet Jacqui greeted us with lovely cake and coffee. Our room was beautiful and so well equipped but Jacqui & Georges' hospitality along with Amber and Charlie made our stay wonderful. Jacqui's breakfasts cannot be beaten and our dogs, Ray & Arnie were allowed to share Charlie's dog flap! Will definitely be back - Many thanks to you all - Jim, Jen & the Muts x x

Room Tip: The whole house is fabulous - very peaceful location

Glad that I have finally found the time to write this review as I want to help spread the word about Ragstones. On this first trip we only stayed for one night but from the first phone call to the moment we left, the service was wonderful.

I would definitely recommend and would certainly return myself.

Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Being French, it was our first visit to Cornwall, and were looking for a good place to stay with our dog, that we unfortunately couldn't take with us (it seems almost impossible for a "continental" dog to cross the Channel...). We found their website ( http://www.ragstones.com/ ) which gives you a really good idea of what expects you. And we weren't disappointed at all! After our very long journey, we were very nicely welcomed by Jacqui, and the welcome tray was a delicious relief.

Our bedroom was overlooking the magnificent garden, and was perfectly equipped! What a comfortable bed! And the bathroom is roomy.

As we first thought of spending our time walking on the coastal footpaths, Jaqui lent us some detailed maps of the area, which were really useful. Besides, we were extremely well advised on the best places to go, and the house is ideally situated.

The breakfasts were one of our best memories we'll have of Ragstones... I can still remember the taste of Jacqui's homemade jam and marmalade... What a treat! How could you start a day better?

And what can we say about our hosts? They are just the friendliest persons you'd ever meet! Very welcoming, always ready to help, entertaining (we had such good times together!) that it was very sincerely hard for us to leave them.

To put it in a nutshell, you really have to go there!

Room Tip: Any room is perfect, I guess! You won't be disappointed!

After a long drive we were greeted with tea and cake and a very warm welcome which was much appreciated.

Our room was brilliant, large and light with very comfy beds and spotlessly clean. Also what has to be the best selection of drinks and biscuits I have ever seen in a room. The large powerful shower was well appreciated as was all the extra touches such as shampoo, shower gel, cotton wool, handcream, hairdryer.

Breakfast was very generous and it was lovely to have it prepared whilst drinking our coffee and talking to Jacqui. Also items such as the yoghurt and jam were home made and very tasty!

The owners are lovely and friendly and made us and our dog feel very very welcome - we were even allowed to walk our dog in their garden. We hope to come back some day.

What a gem !!
Arrived early evening and were welcomed with a drink and cake, and a tour of the garden with the resident dogs - both great fun and very well behaved. The rooms were without doubt the best set up;and equipped at which I have ever stayed at a B&B and nothing was any trouble to our hosts, Jaqui and George. It was the perfect location to visit the Eden project and we walked the 1.8 miles-uphill- there which helped me to work off the gormet breakfast I had just eaten. There is nothing to criticize about the accomodation, food and especially the hosts. Thank you for a memorable two days stay. We will be back.

Room Tip: Any room is perfect

We have just returned from spending a couple of days at Ragstones. It has to be the warmest welcome and enjoyable stay I have ever had in a B & B. We were welcomed with a drink and slice of cake which went down well after the drive. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable and the "little extras" such as biscuits, sweets and toiletries made all the difference. As dog owners we loved the welcome from Amber & Charlie and enjoyed lots of cuddles. The breakfast was delicious and you could have as much or as little as you wanted, all freshly cooked as you enjoyed your tea or coffee. We will recommend this to anyone and hope to return again in the Autumn. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
