Nearly missed this gem, but the lady at Pinsla gardens recommended it, it's fairly close by. Lots of unusual trees, shrubs, and hardy herbaceous plants. Many different 'areas' to the garden means there's something for everyone no matter your garden preferences nor what your soil type etc. Lovely feel to the place and nothing's too much bother for the owners, they make you feel very welcome. There's even a few choice plants for sale, so I've come home with some real treasures as reminders of Marsh Villa.

It might be easy to overlook this smaller garden in favour of the 'big names' such as Eden and Heligan, but please don't. Marsh Villa is such a pretty garden and an incredible one-woman achievement. It is a peaceful antedote to the crowds found at the bigger gardens in the area and the cream teas here are better than the others too :) Check the opening times before you go as they are non-standard.

So glad we made the trip to Marsh villa gardens..we were the only one there.a garden entirely made and created by a wonderful lady on marsh land it has many different areas woodland, ferns, hot plants, a large pond , bamboos, enclosed areas ,roses plus a wild area
Mr and Mrs Stephens are a wonderful couple who are only to happy to share their stories about the garden and answer your questions. We also had a nice cream tea there.
What we liked about this garden is that it is a very personal garden
Highly recommend a visit

I can only reiterate the other reviews - a wonderful garden and lovely friendly people who manage it. Tea room facilities and toilets plus the opportunity to purchase some plants. A wonderful treat for the senses in many ways.
