“We go so often!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2014

Seeing as my daughter is aspiring to become a zoologist and the fact that's this is just round the corner form us we spend quite a bit of time there. It's great for a family day out at the weekend or during the holidays, although they don't have large zoological animals like tigers or lions which I now appeals to most when visiting animal parks, the meerkats are adorable and their antics will keep you smiling for the duration of your visit. The emus strange deep hollow rattle will have you trying to replicate to your friends to who how they sound (although we never quite manage it!) we always take a picnic when we go so haven't used the facilities there (purely because we go so often we save a few pennies where we can not because we don't think it's good) I highly recommend this place to all families for a lovely day out.

“Lots to see!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014

Went to fill an hour while on holiday nearby. Very pleased we did, lots of birds and animals to see all very well cared and provided for! My son in law got to hand feed a meerkat and the talking parrots were a joy! The staff are super friendly and chatty and so proud of their little zoo as they rightly should be. This little zoo is great for families with the under 5s, a lovely level walkway, and just enough for them to take in. The picnic area with a little play area for little ones is an added bonus too. All in all its the little zoo that can make your day, loved my visit taking my grandson back next time can't wait!

“Good if you want to fill in a spare hour”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014 via mobile

As Wingz was near to where we were staying on holiday we decided to visit. Reading some reviews about it being an all day thing and a great day out, I was a bit disappointed when we arrived. First of all it was not cheap to get in. It only took us about 30 minutes to walk round and I dont understand how anyone could have stayed longer as there was nothing left to see. Some of the cages were so far back you couldn't see in them and we bought some meerkat food which they werent interested in at all. I am glad I visited just to help to a good cause however people should know its just something to do to fill an hour not an all day fun attraction.

“Fun day out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2014

We spent the afternoon at Wingz, probably an all day thing. The meerkats are wonderful and oscar the parrot is great fun! My daughter, aged 5 absolutely loved it, we can't wait to go back again!

“Great small gem for bird lovers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2014

Went here on a friends recommendation and did not know what to expect. A gem is what we found. Compact sanctuary run by obvious animal lovers. When they spoke about any of the animals they knew the back story, their natural habitat etc. even though the sanctuary is on a steep hill, the way it is laid out you don't actually walk through any steep gradients and is wheelchair friendly. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and you didn't feel rushed or in the way.

Would recommend the meerkat experience, you get to go in with them and then feed them and they can climb all over you. Word of advice, if wet day, take spare clothes as the meerkats will leave muddy paw prints on you.

Then to top off the visit, used their tea room where everything is made to order........ All fresh food and the cakes..... Yummy

Came away impressed with what the owners have achieved and if we lived locally would want to volunteer to help them.
