Stayed with friends on the summer meadow pitches which are only used for a short time every year. They were well spaced and each has a hedge on at least one side so it felt like everyone had their own space. It felt very rural and like proper camping, without roughing it! The remainder of the site also looked lovely.

Location is great for sightseeing, and the grounds were very well maintained. Plenty of toilets and free showers and all very clean. Wardens were really friendly and helpful, also met the owners parents who were doing the cleaning to help out! You can tell its family run.

Enjoyed the story-telling down by the lake and fire one night, and we had some lovely days out in the local towns and beaches. The area is very pretty.

Especially helpful to have big sinks for washing up and a kettle. The summer meadow had its own facilities but it was all close enough to provide the option of both.

We had a fantastic weekend and I would definitely return.

Room Tip: There is good choice for pitches so just discuss what you would like with the wardens when you book...

I have just got back from camping over the August bank holiday with my 2 teenage sons and we had a fantastic time. I have been on a lot of camp sites and this is by far the best kept and most clean. the showers and facilities were new and kept immaculately clean. We camped but I have to Say I wouldn't mind trying a stay in one of their yurts or log cabins. The site is easily accessible to a range of towns, beaches, markets, golf course and of course the Eden project. A truly lovely part of the country to visit and a lovey family run campsite the staff cant do enough to help. I will definitely be returning.

Just returned from a weeks camping at East Grinnis. We were a little unhappy with our pitch when we first arrived, the website shows wonderful private pitches surrounded by landscaped bushes, this is why we booked it really. We arrived and were shown to our pitch on a rather unkempt field where people walked their dogs mainly. We felt quite seperated from the rest of the residents and quite jealous of their wondeful landscaped pitches as we walked to the toilet block.
This mood soon passed as the rest of East Grinnis is wonderful. The new toilet / shower block is absolutely spotless. The site is family run and staff are wonderfully helpful and work so hard to keep guests happy.
We took part in the story telling around the lake, complete with Cornish Pasty supper and a camp fire - all free. Great fun and a little extra special touch that East Grinnis organised. We would defininately return without a second thought as this is probably the nicest camp site we've visited in the uk, so peaceful and relaxed, but would state we need an electric pitch as this could be the deciding factor as to whether you get the fab pitches or the field. Don't get me wrong, we did settle in to the peace and quiet of the field (there are only 3 pitches), but we enjoy feeling part of the camping community and would have loved one of the pitches as they are shown on the website.

We visited East Crinnis camping for one week with our tent in June 2013. We received a very warm welcome, great hosts, friendly people on site and excellent facilities. The shower and toilet block were pristine and brand new, there were freezers for anyone to use, a handy information room and washing machines for a small charge.

Great location with easy access to pubs, restaurants, beautiful beaches and towns.

A first class campsite and one which I would definitely return to

Room Tip: Choose a pitch further into the campsite for extra privacy and quiet

We have just returned from 5 nights in a log cabin at East Crinnis. Originally I had booked a camping pitch but the weather forecast was not brilliant and luckily they had space for us in a cabin! We arrived very early for check-in but this was not a problem, the cabin was spotlessly clean with everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Beds were very comfy and the cabin would be plenty big enough for a family. My OH was really impressed with the shower pressure (only thing is maybe the bathroom/shower is in need of modernising - but this is not a major thing)

The site itself was really lovely, great camping pitches with hedges and lots of space. The shower block looked lovely and again very clean. A bit of road noise but after the rush hour it subsided.

They location is good if like us you want to see places all over Cornwall. We went out everyday and found it an easy drive to Newquay/Mevagissy/Truro/Lizard/Fowey/Looe and loads of beaches. We did walk from the site down to Charles town VIA the coast path, this could do with being highlighed a bit better, we got a bit lost around the golf course.

The real selling point of this site is the staff...unlike many places I have stayed you are made to feel really welcome and nothing is too much trouble. We felt we had the right amount of privacy and yet whenever wanted to speak to someone they were available.

Overall..I can not recommend this campsite highly enough if you want somewhere friendly and peaceful.
