Really enjoyed our stay, we was there for 5 nights. And from the moment we arrived to our sad departure.(back to grined stone aka work) : ( we was made to feel welcome. Home from home experience, but with all the extra comforts and lovely breakfast. Which I recommend to anyone. Best place I've stayed in a long time. Thank you guy's. You will see us again. Regards chris(biscovery suite)

Mikes very nice and welcoming.
Our room was ready for us even though we were an hour early!
Pack in our room showing local amenities and also more in the breakfast area. He also had a deal with the manager of a really nice pub down the road (walking distance) with excellent good so we benefited from 10% off our meal!
The breakfast mile cooked for us on both mornings were exceptional! Good selection including:
Bacon, special sausage, black pudding, hogs pudding, fresh tomato, mushrooms, homemade spicy beans, plain beans, smoked salmon, eggs how ever you like them, fresh cut toast. We could mix and match as much as we wanted!
Along with this we could have fresh fruit salad with yoghurt!

Accommodation is only a short drive into Charlestown that has a couple of nice beaches and just a little further into saint austells!

Highly recommended!!

Mike was an excellent host. We are both Vegetarian and the breakfast was a full veggie cooked along with fruit, yoghurt and cereals not the normal reduced menu. Didn't need to eat lunch afterwards. Great location for the Eden project and the wider area. Rooms are a high standard and clean with a couple of nice touches. The Britannia Inn is the better pub in the locality and worth the walk. I would definitely recommend this guest house. Mike has just been awarded 4* AA rating.

The Penarth guest house is clean and the rooms well furnished. But it is the welcoming hosts and the wonderful breakfast which make it such a special place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for Mike, and you really feel as though you are staying with friends. There is a breath-taking amount of choice for breakfast and everything is top quality - I can without hesitation recommend the hogs pudding and the spiced beans. This is a wonderful place to stay so long as you have a car, as the buses are infrequent and the sea, as we discovered, is quite a long walk! :)

You get an excellent greeting and "Cornish Welcome" from Mike who makes you feel instantly at home.

For eating out there is a pub just up the road, and down the bottom of the hill is the Britannia Inn, easily walk-able provided you are capable once you leave the pub. The 10% discount (where Mike gives you a signed card) which you can use down at the Britannia Inn is worthwhile as the place is very good indeed, and the discount is off the whole bill including drinks.

Would use again and nothing is too much trouble as far as Mike the host is concerned.
