Very well laid out tourist attraction and great staff which made our visit a memorable occasion. Many of the original working buildings were open giving us a great appreciation of what life was like working the mines. there is also a mine that you can go down, which gave us a real insight to the conditions these miners had to work under. And the views over the cliffs were breathtaking. Well worth the visit, and take your time to absorb it all.

I was expecting a few huts and a couple of hours of wandering about.....

Wow, this place oozes the personalities of the men who worked together and really cared about their workplace and each other.

Don't hesitate to go and visit, it's so good. It's a bit like the last shift was yesterday and everyone will be back in a day or two....

Thanks to the museum all has not been lost, and we can still see how it would have been to work in a tin mine in beautiful Cornwall...

I went here with my partner when we were in Cornwall on a mini break, we drove over an hour for it as my partner was really wanting to go, me not so much i thought.
We got there and it just looked like a big car park, but soon went into the entrance and got our hard hats!
The whole site has the most amazing view out on to the sea which was fantastic. The entry fee was minimal and the site was huge to look around and had some great real life rooms. They feel as if the miners were there just yesterday.
We went down for the mine tour and was greeted by a friendly chap. He showed us around the tin extracting rooms above ground level and also showed us how it was done, things are still working even though it was closed many years ago.
Then it was time to go underground!. We donned our overcoats and headed for the entrance.
All along the tour guide was the most knowledgeable person i have ever met.
The mine tour was incredible, really making you think about what the conditions were like, all along learning about the miners themselves etc.
My mind was changed after this day out about going to visit these sorts of things and i can honestly say a great day out, the work the staff do there is fantastic.

I decided to visit Geevor again after coming here several years ago. Delighted to find more exhibits and a better cafe. The visit costs £10 adults, but students, children and a range of other categories of folk are much less. Looking around it's hard to believe that mining stopped there only 20 years ago as much of the equipment is much older. There is something about the locker room that makes you think that all the miners will walk in at any time to start their shift. A great testimony to Cornish Tin mining. The cafe is great too, no rip off prices. Home made pasties are home made. The views stunning.... One of the better attractions in Cornwall...
