Very well-appointed room, really clean, friendly hosts, great breakfast, nice touches like being asked when we wanted our toast served, rather than have it cold at the end, "proper" napkins and not having to ask for a jug of hot water for the tea! Beautiful views in rolling countryside. Lovely postition. Great value for money.

We had easy, comfortable, pleasant, informative interactions with three generations of this wonderful family just being itself. Woke up one morning to hear (Jon) whistling while he worked, find the sheep gathered at the gate baa-ing to be fed, have a chat about the farm, kids, and pets with grandpa, and joke with Julia while she fixed breakfast. Some of the cow paths are especially narrow and barely navigable with oncoming truck traffic. Our favorite farmstay.

We travelled from Barcelona to Pensilva to visit Cornwall on August. As we hadn't many days (6 in total) we decided to choose just one location as a "base camp" and we had the chance to stay in this farm house. We appreciated Julie's advices about the places to visit, the maps and documents she let to us and, of course, the excellent B&B which is Penharget farm: Good breakfasts, comfortable house, clean rooms with toilet, nice courtyard, and Julie's friendliness around you. The only think we regret is hasn't had more days to spend there to explore Cornwall in a slower way ;-)

A great find to get away from it all in the rolling countryside and taking in the running of a working farm. Julie couldn't have been more helpful and hospitable. The room was clean and spacious. A perfectly positioned place to stay to visit places around Cornwall.

Everything about our stay at Penharget Farm was fantastic! Beautiful rooms, views and gardens. Nothing was to much trouble for the friendly owners, Julie and Johathan. Ideal if you want a base to explore Cornwall. We will definitely be returning.

My friend and I decided to spend a long weekend in Cornwall at the very last minute a couple of weeks back. Needless to say we struggled to find a budget accommodation of our choice in the holiday season. We were proven wrong when my friend came across Penharget Farm via the 'visitCornwall' website and we were lucky enough to secure a booking! The drive to Pensilva village once you leave Launceton is lovely and the sight of this enchanting house on a working farm set us in the right mood for our mini-break. Its location in the heart of Cornish countryside worked perfectly for us as we could easily drive to Tintagel under an hour to enjoy the cliff views of the north as well as the quaint fishing village of Fowey down South. For a rainy day, we were able to visit Lanhydrock House which was again a 30 minute drive. Julie and John are extremely hospitable and make you instantly feel at home. The house is tastefully decorated and still tells of tales of its past when you see the needlework map of the farm. We stayed in the front room with views of lush green countryside from the window. The room was cosy and bathroom spotless. Julie provided us with the most delicious breakfast ever and made us feel absolutely pampered. I wish we could stay longer as our stay at Penharget Farm added multitudes of character and comfort to our trip! Highly recommended!

A great B&B with lovely welcoming hosts in Julie & Jonathan. Working farm - gorgeous dogs! A real home from home and a beautiful location. We will most definitely return for another visit. Nothing is too much trouble for Julie and her breakfast really sets up for the day - highly recommend a visit
