We have had an amazing 5 days with Sue and Sharon. This is a great base for surfing, walking, cycling and other more relaxing activities. It is the only place where my son asks for seconds at supper time and where adults and children receive an equally warm welcome. I always come home feeling totally refreshed. Thank you.

An exceptional establishment run by Sue and Sharron who are a dedicated and highly effective team , 'you are a guest in our house and we will do everything in our power to make your stay pleasant. We stayed for one night
Location: within five minutes walk of the coastal path and 20 minutes walk of Perranporth.

Room: we stayed in a in a double room which was comfortable, well equipped, scrupulously clean with good views.

Food: breakfast, an excellent of selection of fare, the home made apricot jam was was an added bonus.

I had forgotten a tie for the wedding we were attending, in a flash a selection was produced for me to borrow from which was over and above what could reasonably be expected.

Recommended in the strongest terms.

Just absolutely terrible customer service!

My partner and I booked this hotel through the hotel's own website on Thursday, which said they had a room, to stay Saturday 5th July to spend the evening and next day with family celebrating a lost one's birthday.

On arrival into Perranporth we called the hotel to find out where it was, to be greeted with being told that we were NOT staying there that night and they had cancelled the booking immediately and an email was sent. It was NOT sent, and the owners of this hotel did not even have the common courtesy to call us to confirm that this was the case and that they couldn't accommodate us - most likely because someone had called after me and had something more to offer, maybe for longer. When we said that we had travelled almost five hours to get there, we received another round of "we cancelled your booking" and they were "sorry". She did offer us a caravan instead and did find us somewhere to stay, but we thought better of it and made our own arrangements.

I am quite disgusted at the owners of this hotel for their inability to communicate with customers who they cancel with no good reason or explanation before they travel many hours to be greeted with a "no thanks".

We stayed at the St George's Country Hotel for three nights with other guests attending for a wedding reception on Perranporth beach for two friends who had recently been married on a cruise ship.
Welcomed by Sue and Sharon and shown to lovely double room with all facilities and very modern en-suite shower.
It really felt like a home from home and totally conforms to their philosophy of providing the best service - Good food, a good shower and a good bed!
Read all the other reviews for full details, will definitely return if in Perranporth area again.

Room Tip: Plenty of photographs on the website, all in very good order and well appointed.

Just spent 3 nights at St Georges Country hotel and experienced the hospitality of Sharon & Sue. Having walked the whole of the South West Coast Path almost twice, I've stayed in a lot of B&B's / hotels over the last ten years, and St Georges definitely among the best overall experience. I found them in the South West Coast Path Association guide book (highly recommended if you're doing much coast walking by the way) and as a walker it was fantastic - Sharon and Sue were welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. The room was clean and well equipped (nice en-suite and proper coffee rather than instant), the food was excellent (a good quality breakfast and fantastic evening meals cooked by Sharon), and Sue & Sharon ferried me to the start of each day's walk so I could enjoy the views without carrying a huge rucksack from one B&B to the next. Their is free WiFi (a must for me these days!) and a well stocked bar, and even though I'm not a dog lover, theirs is very sweet! The only down side (and for me it wasn't a problem at all since I was there to walk lots) is that it's right at the edge of Perranporth up a steep hill which might be a problem for some, but if not don't let that put you off since the plus side is that it's next to open countryside and nice and quiet. Just one final thing though, how come some people seem to suggest they got homemade chocolates and I didn't!! ;-)

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night on a road trip of Cornwall and it was fantastic! Lovely welcome, beautifully clean and cosy room with a gorgeous bathroom and spa bath. Homemade biscuits and chocolates awaited us in our room along with lovely tea and coffee facilities. Knowledgable hosts helped us decide where to go the next day and we went felt very welcomed and comfortable. The bed was better than ours at home! Best nights sleep! Delicious home cooked breakfast with local produce in the morning topped off a lovely night at St George's. Will definitly recommend to friends and hopefully one day we'll return.

We spent three wonderful days with Sue and Sharon in April this year. Our up-graded room was bright, clean with enough space for all our belongings. The food - both breakfasts and dinners were superb. Both Sue & Sharon were knowledgeable about the area and taking their suggestions we visited some amazing historic houses.Would definitely recommend and stay again if ever in that part of the UK.
