My father in law had gone in to arrange a table for that eve, it was Saturday and they were busy but he managed to secure us a table at 9 that night.

At 9.03 he received a call advising they had given our table to someone else as we were late (yes that's right folks 3 minutes late)

Leaving a party of 5 having to arrange to eat elsewhere at 9pm, a disgraceful way to run your restaurant and shocking service!

Our visit was more than just a family visit as one of the party was there to review the restaurant for a magazine which will hopefully make them think in the future before they mess around a party booked at their restaurant!

This is complete LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your father in law did NOT book a table!!!! He entered the restaurant at approximately 4pm on a bank holiday Saturday & requested a table!! He was informed we were fully booked & had been for some time.

We then offered to take his phone number on a "Wait-list" basis & he was again advised there was no guarantee of a table but we will would contact him should a table become available & it would be after 9pm & should he find somewhere else to dine then we would understand.

Just after 9pm on an extremely busy Saturday night with guests who had booked WEEKS in advance a waitress called the number given & explained we were still full & no tables were becoming vacant & offered a table for the next availability which was Monday evening, to which the very rude gentleman said, "You must be joking!" & hung up!!!!

This shows to us that we do not wish that kind of rude clientele who don't even book in advance then write false & lies on trip advisor!!!

& as for your magazine review!!!! I am not interested in your review as by this false "review" it would be rubbish anyway!!!

Kind regards,
Matthew Burrell

If you are looking for expertly prepared food, a good menu choice, pleasant surroundings and lovely staff then this is the place. Service was at a perfect pace and the whole experience was most enjoyable. Just be prepared for the bill to leave a hole in your wallet.

I knew this building as a bucket and spade shop so could not believe its transformation in to a beautiful restaurant!!
The food was absolutely incredible (I felt like I was at a fine dining restaurant in London!)
As a vegan I was given a special menu which was delicious. My friends had steaks, seafood and pork belly - everyone was very happy.
What a great addition to Newquay/ Perranporth this restaurant is!
Ideal for couples, dates, special nights out and parties. LOVED IT!!!! xxxx

We are local to Perranporth and have our own holiday cottages so it is very important that we find good restaurants that we can recommend to our holiday cottage guests and this place is definitely one of those! In fact we were amazed to find such a great place with such a fantastic menu in Perranporth - well done guys!

We were greeted by a really friendly and welcoming waitress and shown to our seats and she also took our coats for us. It wasn't long before she brought the menus over which by the way are great and offer an excellent variety of fish and meat dishes. I think there is also a vegetarian menu, so something for everyone. Before our starter arrived we were treated to a tasty amuse bouche of crab and pork on strips of carrot with a chilli sause - this was amazing! We chose the Tempura Oysters to start and they came beautifully presented in their shells with garlic aioli and caviar on a long boat like dish - it looked stunning and tasted delicious. My main was the Lamb shoulder which again came beautifully presented with carrots, asparagus, potatoes, spinach and peas, the lamb was so full of flavour and was local, but unfortunately I couldn't fit it all in, but this wasn't a problem as they very kindly boxed it up so that I could take it home with me. My other half chose the Monkfish which again was presented beautifully and was delicious. We were also treated to home-made bread with olive oil and balsamic during the meal.

As we were fairly full by now, we chose to share a desert - we had to try one as the rest of the food had been so good. We weren't disappointed with our desert either, the chocolate fondant was just perfect!

We had a fantastic evening, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food was one of the best meals we've had out in a very long time - well done, we'll be back very soon!
