A beautiful quiet location, central for the sights of far West Cornwall. Paul and Bernice were delightful hosts, they went out of their way to ensure that our every need was met and that we had a great stay. I even had a Birthday card on my Birthday.
Our room was spacious, very comfortable and well equipped, also very quiet.
The food was excellent delivered to our table freshly cooked and of a very high quality. We must have put on a few kgs. while there, no doubt partly due to Pauls "diet" cream! As Aussies we were delighted that Bernice (a fellow Aussie) prepared the best Pavlova for our final night dessert.
A fantastic small hotel, we cannot recommend it highly enough, we will remember our " cocktail hours" with fellow guests accompanied by repartee from Paul fondly.

A really enjoyable second visit, Paul and Bernice made us so welcome once again and the food is so very good. Bernice is always so helpful with diet request. We have already booked again for next year.

We have just returned from one of the most relaxing holidays we have had in a good many years.
Bernice and Paul create a calm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Add to this the superb food, the large comfortable room and bathroom and the beautiful grounds and you have a formula for the perfect holiday.
We normally stay in cottages when we holiday in Cornwall, which we do for at least 2 weeks of the year, as we find hotels very impersonal but staying at Aviary Court has changed my mind, we will be back as soon as we can.

Room Tip: We only saw the room we stayed in but speaking to the other guests, all the rooms are very comfortab...

I spent a week here with friends; we were well looked after by Paul & Bernice. Breakfast & evening meals were delicious, the best home cooking rather than haut cuisine. There is a beautiful walk through bluebell woods to Portreath just by the hotel. Lovely grounds with a traditional Cornish stone wall all round. Wish we had brought shoes & racquets for the tennis court. No need to travel far for painting subjects or good walks.

We have just returned from two nights at the Aviary Court Hotel (Room 6) and feel as refreshed as if we had been away for a week. The hotel itself is blissfully quiet, set in stunningly well maintained gardens, and with access to its own tennis court. Our room was very light and spacious with views over two sides of the garden. The bathroom which included a bath and shower was immaculately clean.
We stayed bed-and-breakfast and the food was so good that we booked in for dinner on the second evening.
We will certainly be back. This sort of accommodation suits us down to the ground with easy access to some stunning walks, wildlife and beaches. A peaceful and homely place to retreat to in the evenings while the grandchildren stay with their parents nearby!

The 10 night break recently spent with Paul and Bernice was the total relaxation that we desparately needed after running our business with lots of pressures.
The accommodation remains so clean and comfortable with all those little touches normally expected in much larger hotels but where you are just a room number - here you are regarded more as a member of the family. Our very first visit revealed the care and attention paid to customer's needs, like allergies, likes and dislikes with no further prompting required on subsequent visits. Margaret prefers de-caff' tea bags - they are always waiting on the tea tray now. Even the brown sauce bottle is in-place on the breakfast table without asking. There has been considerable investment through the Winter despite the low numbers of guests and we hope new customers find their way to this lovely Cornish retreat during 2014 - as long as Room 5 is free when we need it of course! Cannot say enough about the quality of the food Bernice serves - it is superb and plentiful but dietry requirements accommodated without fuss. This hotel should be at the highest rating! Roll-on visit number 25!!!

Room Tip: All are excellent! No need to choose.
