“Not much going on”
Reviewed 16 July 2013 via mobile

Could have made a lot more of it. Just a few shops, a cafe, no Cornish pasties. Just craft shops around a cafe. Excellent advertising makes it look much bigger than it is!

“Unique jewllery”
Reviewed 11 July 2013

Here you can watch trained jewellers create and fix gold and sliver jewellery and find out about invaluable ways of caring for antique gold and pearls. There is a display of gold bullion guarded by a Tarantula as well as a DB5 (James Bond car), C3PO from Star Wars and a Delorean time machine. I am not sure if these are the real deal but even if they are replicas they are done very well.
Other attractions/activities here are Piskie Panning (This was closed when we visited), Gem Scoop (also closed while visiting) The Bear Works this area was extremely busy and packed and another popular area is the Create and Paint Pottery.
The mill and museum is very interesting and well worth the £2.00 entry fee (per person)
Entry to the main site and car parking is free but the activities are charged for.

Creative fun for all ages!
Brilliant place to take young children and grandparents! lol
We had a fantastic day, and the staff were very helpful, making it a really happy and friendly environment.
The pottery glazing was done overnight for us, so we could collect our masterpieces! in the morning.
Well recommended, 5* rating, and the parking is free too!

“Okay for a day out.”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

Don't expect to be able to entertain children for hours here or even adults. We went up here to buy my daughter a teddy for her first birthday, we were happy to see there's no parking charges, next we went to look around the jewelry (i am not much of a widow shopper so wasn't kept entertained for long) but the other 2 adults enjoyed imaging which one he wanted as a wedding ring and his mum think what she could get her Other half to buy her for Christmas. My baby found this bit a little boring as she couldn't touch things or even the glass. we didn't go piskie panning but my sister had the week before and got quite a bit as it was a quiet day, it doesn't cost much for 10-15 mins. Next the bear factory gosh we spent a while in here, it is a small shop but worth a look for children. if you look at the prices on the website and think you have a rough idea of how much you will spend add a few pounds as the prices don't appear to be the same as the website price but we were still happy with Merlin in his biker outfit and pilot outfit we will be returning for more outfits and maybe get him some shoes, they also do a loyalty card for every £10 you spend you get a stamp to go towards a free item. The restaurant was lovely and we only got drinks this time but the food around looked lovely and people seemed to be enjoying it. We were very happy and will be returning it is a cheap day out.

“Went for the shopping - Adults”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

Thsi is a lovely place if you are lookign for jewellery and watches and want to a bit of shopping. Prices vary for £5 for a necklace up to the thousands. They have a Gold, silver and a pearl shop with so many different designs and items in there.

There are bits for the kids to do but depends on your budget. There was a crazy goldf course but due to the weatehr we avaoidthis. Panning for gems (I think £3 for 15 mins) a bear workshop and a museum.

In teh goldsmith shop they have a replica Back to the Future car and a James Bond Astin Martin.

We did look in the retaurant but seems on their boards a very limited choice of food (No pasties which for a cornish attraction was a bit surprised) they may have sold them but could not see anything.
