“Proud to be Cornish”

Well the treasure park has made our visit a success again, since our last visit the pantry kitchen food has improved....we had the pasty deal with savory pasty and a pudding ...was bloody lovely...we then went and played crazy golf and visited the mill which was great.
can we just say that there was a person from Penzance saying how bad there experience was with the bears but we had obviously gone to a different place, because the staff was as they always are so good, with adults and children x x x

“Treasure hunt”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

Everytime we go to Cornwall my wife goes to the Park and thoroughly enjoys her time looking at all the jewellery, chains and gifts. She never comes back empty handed! Although our children are now adults we no longer do any of the themed activities but they do look good.

“Not free if you want to do anyhting!”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

Be warned - this place is far from as 'free' as it advertises - only the parking and looking at the shops is free! Everyhting has to be paid for otherwise: there is not even a play area for the children. So while the teddybear stuffing and panning for jewels is fun, it is a very expensive place to go, if you want to have any fun at all. I think the owners are the right side of legal in their claims to be free, but ethically, they are on shaky ground here. Would not recommend this place.

“Holiday visit”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

There are lots of attractions for children here - which cost - but it is basically a glorified shop and most things cost quite a lot. It was interesting to visit and ideal on a wet day. As there is no entrance fee it is up to visitors of buy or not and it is an attractive and enjoyable place to explore.

“Good for a wet day: children enjoy Gem Scoop & Panning for Gold etc”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

A quirky place: the kids insist on visits for special days (birthday etc), and they enjoy it: Crazy Golf & dinosaur dig (a little tired, but fun), Gem Scoop (genuine kid fun - especially finding the fossilised shark's teeth), Panning for Gold (iron pyrites in smelly water, but fun to try nonetheless), Create and Paint (ceramics - good fun).

Avoid 'Bear Works' (costly, disinterested / uncommunicative staff when we tried - other franchises(?) had genuinely friendly staff).

Gold centre - you will have to pass through it to get to the loo and I'm sure there's some nice jewellery there, if that's your sort of thing.
Cafe - OK & spacious (pastries were OK, bland/weak Puro coffee).
Museum etc - I'd be interested to go around this but it's about the kids and they didn't want to.

Will we go again? I'm sure we'll have to - next time the kids have exhausted other local attractions again and it's too cold for something outdoors. Actually, as there's no charge for general entry, we could pop back to try the Redruth Town / Tolgus Tin Museum for a couple of quid on the next rainy day.
