Literally on the doorstep of our caravan park, this attraction was definitely worth a visit. In fact, our five year old daughter wanted to visit a second time. You can climb up steps into the old mines, and read the info boards. Not much else, but it is free and very interesting. The views are spectacular too.

We stroll with out two Whippets at Wheal Peevor. It's an interesting place with lots of mining history and plenty of wild life such a moths, butterflies, plants and birds. Climbing up the steps in one of the engine houses, you get a terrific view from there.
Best of all it is FREE. We love it.

Stayed at a camp site locally and drove past a few times and decided to take a look. Very interesting site, free parking, free entry and information boards at all sites. There are 3 shafts you can look down into the darkness and three engine houses. Great free site you can spend a couple of hours at.

Hidden off the A30, between Redruth and Illogan, this conserved mining site shows the complexity of a Cornish Tin Mine within the wilderness that now surrounds such places throughout Cornwall.
