One week of peaceful bliss. My wife and l had a fantastic time here at the Penventon. We enjoyed the excellent food , swimming pool and the Spa for a soothing massage. Central to where we wanted to be and with easy access to all the places around the coast, Lands end, Falmouth, St Ives, Portreath , Trevarno gardens and the lovely fishing ports of Mevagissey and St Mawes and lots more.

I had my wedding reception here on the 10th. We had our own events manager Amy Butler looking after us from beginning to end. She talked us through what we wanted and made sure that everything went to plan, a credit to the hotel. Also stayed in one of the suites for the night with a lovely four poster bed. Reception staff really friendly and helpful also.

Good points: Check-in welcoming. Stayed in a garden suite room - modern and clean, comfortable, LCD TV, good shower. Room service food good. Free WiFi. Breakfast well presented and good service. Less good points: Although clean, the hotel generally could do with a bit of updating, view from room was not particularly inspiring, function room/nightclub leaked a bit noise to the bedrooms, the 'ironing room' was cramped and poorly equipped and a long walk from the bedroom. Very happy to stay overnight on business.

The breakfast at the Penventon must be one of the best in the country. Most of it is served to you and none of it is drying out underneath hot lamps or cooking slowly to death in a bain marie. Lots of variety on the menu. Good local bread - not Sunblest! and even the bangers aredecent! Well done!

Having been recommended Penventon as a place to eat whilst on holiday, I booked a table to take my partner as a surprise for his birthday. From start to finish the experience was lovely. We enjoyed our drinks in the bar and then were led through to a room with so much character and charm (the photos on the website do not do it justice). The food was beautiful and the pianist in the background topped off the whole evening. The staff were friendly and the waiter helped us choose a great bottle of wine to compliment our fish. Highly recommended and worth every penny!
