“Simply perfect!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2012 for a stay in June 2012

My 3rd stay, this time with my visiting Australian family. A perfect base for a fabulous area. Plenty of space for 2 children, 2 dogs and 3 adults in a better than home-from-home environment. An extremely comfortable house that's very well planned and equipped. Absolutely loads of information on the local area from what to do, where to go, restaurants, tide times - everything you could ever need to know. Lots of fabulous walks without having to get in the car. The foot ferry to Padstow is so convenient, and so exciting for 2 Aussie kids! Can recommend the Camel Trail from Padstow on hired bicycles - all flat terrain over the old railway line and suitable for all ages. Such fun and so beautiful, even in the rain! I thoroughly recommend this property to anyone, any age, any time....!!

“Fab place in a great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2012 for a stay in April 2012

Recently returned from a short break with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson at the delightful Little Thrift. What a fab place - everything you could possible want in a home down to all the picnic gear. This is the best equipped holiday let I have stayed in. The garden was lovely and secure for Freddie to play in (he is 3 yrs 7 mnths). The house was very comfortable and the brand new bathrooms were great. Weather was wet, but there are so many places to go despite the rain that this did not spoil our stay. We look forward to coming back and exploring in the future.

“Fantastic house & destination - highly recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2012 for a stay in April 2012

House was immaculately clean with high quality furnishings, bedding etc & every household appliance you could need. Perfect size for 5 of us plus dog, with great open plan living area for family gatherings & lovely peaceful bedrooms when you needed a break! Portia was extremely helpful in all our contact with her & gave us great tips about local walks etc. Great location with lovely walks to coast & handy local supermarket & fantastic bakery.

“Simply the best holiday home we have ever stayed in!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 September 2011 for a stay in July 2011

We felt instantly comfortable finding the house spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and spacious. The beds are more comfortable than ours at home! The kids enjoyed playing in the garden and we ended the day watching bats and counting stars with a glass of wine relaxing on the decking, incredible how peacefully quiet it is. Shops just around the corner including a fantastic bakery. Stunning beaches everywhere, we particularly liked Daymer Bay. I enjoyed cooking at little thrift, it has the best equipped kitchen we ever had in a holiday home with all the utensils one could wish for and even an insulated picnic bag for the beach days. A nice day out was taking the ferry from Rock to Padstow, hiring bikes and cycle the Camel trail. Coming back from Padstow made us aware once again how quiet and peaceful Rock is, a perfect place to unwind with hussle and bussle not far away if needed. Can't wait to be back.

“It does everything it says on the tin!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2011 for a stay in September 2011

We visited with a group of friends and had a fantastic time. Little Thrift is beautifully presented, as per all the pictures and it has everything you would ever need. The location is great - Rock beach and ferry to Padstow just down the road, shops two minutes round the corner to cater for all your needs and some lovely walks across the golf courses, coastal paths, etc from the door. Ideal for those with dogs who are also welcome - we took 5 labs between us and they had the best time ever!!!!! Hope to return very soon

“A lovely house in a lovely location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2011 for a stay in August 2011

Just returned from a fantastic week at Little Thrift. The house was beautiful, spotlessly clean, well equipped, lots of space. The garden was fantastic: loads of room to run around and ride bikes. Just round the corner are a great little supermarket, a deli, a bakery and a fantastic fishmongers. Rock beach was a 5 minute drive for us, but others could probably walk. Our children loved the little ferry to Padstow. Daymer Bay was a beautiful calm beach and Polzeath was a bit wilder, but just as beautiful. A really great house and very highly recommended.
