Once again this was a National Trust visit and we parked very easly right near the toilet facilities and the little take away cafe.
I had the large sausage in a bun with onions cooked in clotted cream. A bit of a wait but worth it. The coffees were very good.
The car park man was very pleasant and full of chat.
The area near the cafe was visited by several Stone Pipets who were waiting for any droppings off your plate. Cute little birds.

Thank John H

We accessed the beach via the cliff top walk. A lovely beach, clean and sandy. Well worth a visit for the hedgehog ice-cream!

Our search for an ideal Cove came to an end when we visited Chapel Porth Beach. Sand, cliffs and surf as well as access to walks on either side is part and parcel of this Cove. Sheltered from the wind this is a most ideal spot to enjoy the northern cast of Cornwall. A small cafeteria, toilets are very close by as is the adjoining car park. Access is a wee daunting but well worth the adrenaline. There is a lifeguard in attendance for those that wish to surf the good breakers here

We went there at 4:00 pm in the afternoon for body boarding and the waves were the best we've ever come across, they were massive! We had loads of fun in the water, the tide wasn't too far out at that time, yet is wasn't too far in so would say it was just right. There were also a few caves to explore with a few little pools of water in there too, this was great fun to explore! Overall I would say this is a great beach and I highly recommend it!!
