there are so many opportunities to walk around the area who cannot be dissapointed Wheal Coates Mine is a relic from an industrial past that is both beautiful and thought provoking realising that the miners had to go under all that rock.

It's on most of the Cornish postcards and is quintessentially Cornish! We got a bit lost on the way there but found it eventually! Very surprised that there was no signs to it in St Agnes or right near it. Bit odd, especially as it is a major sightseeing point in Cornwall I would say.

It's very rugged and not for the faint hearted but it truly is a remarkable landmark and whatever the weather makes for a beautiful photograph! I Definitely recommend people go here whilst in Cornwall!

Parked in the car park and walked to the mine. Took some marvellous photographs of the ruins and also the many colours in the surrounding country side. Boy was it blowing so we did not venture to close to the sea or use the coastal paths.
Well worth the visit.

Parking is free for National Trust Members.

Stunning. Just, breathtakingly beautiful. A short walk from the coast guards station, or down to the caves on chapel port beach.

A walk along the cliff tops brings you to Wheal Coates, a reminder of the past and how hard life must have been.
