The girl at reception was very friendly, the room was small and rather bland. the shower room was also very small. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin: we could clearly hear the people in the rooms next to us talk, watch TV,...
Breakfast was a disaster: the scrambled eggs were dry, the toast burned,...

We stayed here for a week on a half board basis. The welcome from the owners was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is spotless and very comfortable. Both breakfast and evening meal were freshly cooked and delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very welcoming, the owners try very hard to please.
Room was very clean with a view of the sea and garden. Bathroom very modern.
Food was ok, if not eating in the hotel the you need a car or to like walking to get to nearest restaurants in village.
We enjoyed our stay and it's a lovely place to stay.

Of the many fine country hotels dotted proudly along the North Coast of Cornwall, there is one that stands out from all the rest. Only ten miles from Truro, the Beacon Country House Hotel is the embodiment of genuine Cornwall luxury, a country house hotel to be savoured and enjoyed year after year.

Situated high on the southerly slopes of St Agnes Beacon, stunning views and a warm and friendly welcome await you. As Cornwall accommodation goes, the eleven bedrooms of this small but perfectly formed gem equal those found in some of the best luxury hotels in the UK. Fresh, bright and tastefully furnished with the modern amenities you would expect, all look out over the beauty of the natural panorama or the sweeping two acres of attractive and meticulously maintained grounds.

St Agnes boasts a whole host of year-round activities with majestic coastal walks, beautiful beaches - the closest is just a short hop and a skip away – arts and craft shops and a strong sense of local history. The Eden Project, Padstow, Land’s End and St Ives, to name but a few, are also easily reached by car. So, after a busy day exploring all the area has to offer, relax over a traditional Cornish cream tea in the comfortably furnished lounge, or a restorative drink in the well-stocked bar, before sampling the mouth watering delights of the daily changing menu in the tranquil and elegant restaurant. Here the chef will prepare your dinner to order, using only fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

There are many hotels in England that justly deserve the praise they receive and The Beacon Country House Hotel is certainly one of them. However, few can rival that unbeatable combination of outstanding hospitality, first class comfort and unparalleled natural beauty. When you next visit Cornwall, hunt out this jewel in the crown, www.beaconhotel.co.uk, unless, of course, you’re coming back for more…and who could blame you?

Whether it’s for a short break, or longer stay, Cornwall holidays have never been better.

We stayed at the Beacon Hotel for a four night short break, we were made to feel at home. The rooms were excellent with splendid views of the sea and surrounding countryside. This is an ideal location for exploring Cornwall and St Agnes has an abundance of quality restaurants in the village if you decide to eat out. A true Cornish welcome awaits - we will be back again soon.
