John and Lorena made us feel like a part of their family! They really went the extra mile to make our stay special and help us celebrate our anniversary. Overall, it was a lovely stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food is nice as well. The location is wonderful as you are just walk away from the beach or town. Would definitely stay at Beacon Country House Hotel again!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view if possible.

I was delighted with the quality of my four night stay. The hotel is tucked away in a very quiet and peaceful corner of Cornwall. The nearby town of St Agnes has several restaurants that are within a 20 minute walk of the hotel. The hotel itself is in the country, and is surrounded by green pastures.

The best thing about the Beacon are the staff. They are very welcoming and friendly and make an effort to bring a smile to your face. Breakfast is served each morning in a comfortable dining room. Breakfast includes everything one would expect from a proper English breakfast.

My room was generous in size. The bed was comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. Linens and towels were in excellent shape and of good quality. Room furniture was in good shape, and adequate to store my belongings. The bathroom was spotless and the plumbing was modern and worked perfectly. The decor is clean and classic.

The area around the hotel is a treat to explore. Healthy visitors can walk a half hour to the coast, or up to the top of the namesake Beacon Hill to see a fantastic view of the entire area.

The Beacon is setup well for those traveling by car - I had no trouble finding a spot in the parking area located on the hotel's property.

If I ever return to this region, I would definitely go back to the Beacon.

Room Tip: Some rooms are upstairs. Be sure to ask for a ground-level room if you dislike stairs. The hotel is...

I never write reviews but feel compelled to after checking out of this hotel just today.
The family here are so friendly and are really welcoming. You can tell that they love meeting people and take pride in giving them an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, with everything you require in the room. The bathroom looked newly installed. The bed was very comfortable which led to a restful nights sleep. Being situated off the beated track it has the added benefit of being nice and quiet.

We were in room 5 which had stunning double aspect views over fields and the coastline. These views are replicated downstairs in the breakfast room (which incidentally was very tasty!)

Hope to go back very soon.

We only can confirm all the positive reviews on this page.
We already been to this lovely place twice in the last 12 month and we are looking forward to our next booked stay next weekend. Our dogs love the garden, so do we. Breakfast is wonderful and everything else too. St Agnes is our favourite spot in Cornwall and the Beacon Hotel our favourite place to stay.

I stayed for just three nights in July. The hotel is situated in a great spot on the Beacon with lovely countryside views and a short walk on quiet country lanes into St Agnes, and a beautiful woodland walk down to ChapelPorth. My room was comfortable, quiet and exceptionally clean with generous towels and good toiletries provided. Breakfast was consistently delicious with good variety of cooked options and juices, always served with a smile by John. It's a very small thing, but I would turn the radio off at breakfast time in the dining room.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a bath in the ensuite so check when you book if this is important.

Fantastic views. Only downside was that we were looking for a peaceful holiday and breakfast was spoilt by "radio 2" at breakfast. Lovely room overlooking the beacon and gardens but
only a shower, no bath.
