We received a warm welcome from Lyn the moment we arrived and after showing us to our beautifully furbished room she put on a pot of tea and a cake for us, which was most welcome after a long drive.

The location is good, just a short drive to all the shops and restaurants though it pays to have a GPS or Google maps as we found it is quite easy to get lost in this place.

The room was very comfortable, with a luxurious ensuite and abundant accessories (even a hot water bottle in the wardrobe!). A fridge too was provided as well as fresh bottled water, a chocolate and biscuits, replenished daily. The place throughout is spotlessly clean and well maintained too.

Breakfast was delicious, a good selection is offered and cooked to perfection. The smoked Haddock in particular was exceptional. Definitely the best breakfast we have had in our 4 weeks of touring.

Lyn was very helpful throughout, even offering to help us look for lost keys and she made us feel welcome throughout our visit.

For local food we would recommend the Harbourside Inn, in Charlston, where they do excellent pub meals at reasonable prices.

All in all it was a very enjoyable stay and we would recommend it to everyone.

Room Tip: All the rooms we saw looked good.

We stayed 8th July 2014 for 2 nights. The room was lovely with a comfortable mattress and huge ensuite. Everything was so clean and the food was great. I would highly recommend this B&B and would defintely stay here again. Lyn looked after us very well and gave some good recommendations for local things to see and where to eat. I am very fussy and this was just perfect, I could not fault it.

Lyn was very helpful. Breakfast was terrific. We had the room at the rear which was very quiet away from any traffic noise etc. The room had some very nice touches like bathrobes toiletries etc not forgetting the communal fridge for chilling your favourite drinks on those hot Cornwall evenings!

Lyn made us very welcome at this excellent B & B on the outskirts of St Austell. The breakfasts were very enjoyable - juice, fresh fruit, cereals, full English or smoked haddock or whatever. Room was very clean and comfortable with little extras like fresh milk in a convenient fridge on the landing and dressing gowns in the wardrobe. Convenient car parking on site.

We booked a three night stay at the Cooperage to coincide with going to the Eden Project to see Elbow perform. We was greeted by Lyn and Richard and immediately offered tea and cake and help with the luggage. The room was perfect with a king size bed and lots of extra touches including bath robes, fluffy towels (with a chocolate each on top), plenty of tea and coffee, lots of toiletries, large shower and all spotlessly clean. On hearing we was going to the show at the Eden project Lyn gave us plastic ponchos each (as you can't take umbrellas in) in case of rain and said that as it could be difficult getting out after shows if we wanted to leave our car there overnight then Richard would take us to collect it in the morning. Breakfast was delicious, well cooked and lots of choices. Lyn was always smiling and such a helpful and good host. I would definitely recommend the Cooperage and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else should we return to Cornwall. Probably one of the best B&B's that we have stayed in.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back as there is a fairly busy road at the front but it certainly didn't di...

Avery friendly welcome with tea and cakes on arrival. Our rooms were excellent with a king sized bed and tea and coffee making facilites. A superb breakfast cooked to order. The only slight drawback was the steep drive to the house but everything else was excellent Nothing was too much trouble for Lyn. One of the best B&Bs we have stayed at.
ps even supplied a fridge on the landing to keep our drinks chilled!

Room Tip: Back of the house which is quieter.
