“The perfect accomodation for exploring Cornwall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2012

Well located in Mid Cornwall, this B & B is a good starting point to interesting places like the Eden Project, Charlestown, the ancient and beautiful harbor of Fowey, Mevagissey, the Bodmin Moor, etc. Charlie and Nigel, the owner, are the perfect hosts and always ready to do all they can for their guests. It always feels like home and the rooms are luxuriously and very clean. We look forward to our next stay at Harmony Homestay.

Ditto to everything, everyone else, has said. This is the ultimate in hospitality. Their philosopy is to treat their guests the way they would ideally like to be treated if they were the guests. We stayed three nights and will definately return there when we are next in the area.

Staying at Harmony Homestay is exactly as it says. A harmonious 'home from home' with superlative attention to detail from both Nigel and Charlie.
Such a warm welcome on arrival makes you soon feel you are totally relaxed and truely on holiday. They have created a very special place and so willingly do everything they can to make the stay comfortable and memorable. They are both exceptional people.
The facilities are high quality and spotless. Charlie is an excellent cook and Nigel very informative about the local area and history.
Go and stay and find out for yourselves!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are fab, in a quiet little road

Charlie and Nigel are two of the nicest people you could hope to meet. Both are fully committed to making their guest welcome in their home beginning with a very warm reception accompanied by home made scones. Nigel is a wealth of knowledge about the areas attractions and Charlie an exceptional cook. We spent two nights there and each time we returned from our day's excursions we sat with a cuppa and a chat. Just like at home. Thank you both. Would love to stay again.

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms are purpose built for guests and provide good amenities, lovely bathroom and a te...

Discovered this wonderful place purely by chance and can't really believe just how fortunate we were. Charlie and Nigel made us feel like we have known them all our lives. No sooner were we through the door were we tucking into beautiful freshly made scones with cream and jam. Our room was upstairs "Pol" and we were blown away with the layout and the facilities. The room was spotless and beautifully furnished. The bed was the biggest I have ever seen and the mattress must have been a foot thick. Charlie and Nigel are the perfect hosts and I genuinely could not have asked for more from them. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast set us up for the day and was delicious

What a warm welcome after driving through the wilds of Cornwall. Charlie is a great cook for afternoon teas and breakfasts and Nige a fount of information about the area. Their house is not a mansion but it has the best bed and the best shower we encountered on our trip through England. The home sings with music and laughter. Two genuine guys runnlng a place like this are a rare find. Enjoy what they offer. We hope to return to do so again.

After a rather dodgy accommodation experience, arriving at Charlie & Nigel's was like coming home. Their warm welcome with homemade scones and fresh coffee was so relaxing.
The evening experience to see 'Guys & Dolls' on the edge of the Bodmin Moor was something totally unexpected and to be enjoyed all the more for the location. My room was extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were to die for. Nige in his kilt was also a sight to behold. Their local knowledge and willingness to suggest places to visit was invaluable and although I don't expect to visit Cornwall again due to distance, I can't recommend their homestay too highly. (The Hop & Vine serve a fantastic tangine - both veg and non veg - if you're looking for a great meal.)
