What a gorgeous weekend we had in this lovely hotel. This hotel is truly stunning from the minute you walk through its doors. We were greeted by the lovely staff at Reception who took the time to talk to us about the hotel and what it had to offer.

Our room was beautiful; the bed was comfy, the heating was efficient and the bathroom was clean and tidy. We were impressed with the decor and the amount of space our room had to offer. Housekeeping was of a high standard and the view from our balcony was lovely to wake up to in the morning.

We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant; both were fantastic. The service was excellent and the prices were appropriate for the quality of food that was served; which was very high. The bar is a lovely place to have a drink and relax; the open fire was burning when we were there which was delightful.

We used the spa and the facilities, which again, were beautiful. The swimming pool was very warm and looked out across the grounds thanks to the stunning bi-fold doors. The sauna and steam room were also great.

There is plenty of parking at this hotel which you don’t need to reserve. The hotel is located in a very peaceful area, yet is only a short drive from Fowey and Mevagissey.

All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and attentive. We loved everything about this hotel and will be returning in the future. A fabulous weekend!

Just had a lovely stay here, after a late decision to stay between Christmas and new year. We had a standard room, which was surprisingly large, with a balcony. There were some IT issues when we arrived, so were asked to wait in the bar, but was offered complimentary drinks as as apology.

We found the staff to be very friendly, always saying hello and asking how our day had been. When I took an afternoon nap, preventing the room from being serviced, we had a basket of items left outside our room so we could top everything that may be empty.

The breakfasts were great, with any hot food being cooked to order and everything else available as a buffet. Good quality and plenty of everything.

My only negative would be that the restaurant seemed to be a bit more expensive than I would have expected, but the hotel overall has noticeably upped its gain since we originally stayed here a couple of years ago, and it was good then.

We had an overnight here on our way down for new year. It was lovey. The staff make the place. So friendly. It must be hard as we have come across so many grumpy customers over the holiday season.

We treated ourself to breakfast in bed which was great and the night before we ate in the restaurant which was really nice and relaxed with great food.

I booked specifically for the spa and my husband was full of cold with a high temperature so we ended up camping out in the Room and skipping the spa. Albeit disappointing the room and view was lovely. Will be booking again for October.

Fantastic stay in two adjacent lodges. Every member of staff at the hotel was very pleasant. Had a superb Christmas lunch in the hotel on Christmas Day. Carol singers on Christmas Eve were very good; along with the mulled wine and canapés. No faults to be found at all. Superb!!
