Found The Waterwheel Inn on the net after English food and found photos of the food on offered .
Decided to have the 2 course set menu found on their website, no problem booking, arrived as they opened at 18.30 very well received by Rachel behind the bar , Rachel said please find yourself a table and there were a few to choose from the place was very clean and very tidy I felt a lovely atmosphere straight away after a time Rachel took our drink requests and later came back to take our order for food Rachel was very happy to discuss the dishes on the special board but we decided to keep to the 2 course set menu we ordered 1 prawn cocktail and 1 chicken liver pate the pate one of the best I have had, " Chicken with bacon and cheese sauce with veg and chips 9instead of new potatoes) I had the liver and bacon and all three dishes was superb chicken very well cooked and the liver I had 3 large pieces of lambs liver on a bed of mash with all the dishes having carrots and broccoli as the veg all cooked to perfection and all lovely presented 1 Treacle tart .
just one very small problem my wife is less able but able to descend the few steps to get into the bar area then able to
walk to the dining room so not wheelchair friendly but please if you contact the Inn before you arrive they may have a different way in . But lovely food and surroundings
