“Peace and tranquility”
Reviewed 30 May 2011

My wife and I stayed for one night, but were unable to use the spa facilities, which looked good and based on everything else would have been. We only met two staff, who wre excellent. I had decided not to book the cheapest room, but spent £50 more on the Elizabeth Manor room.
This would be the only SMALL downside. The side room has a small fridge on a "old" style work surface with a sink next to it. There seemed nowhere to put the kettle but in the sink! This is also the dressing area. This and a couple of chips on the toilet seat, a shower screen that had to be in the correct place, if corrected, would make the cost acceptable.
Good food. Quiet location. Perfect!!

We stayed 2 nights in the Emily room. The room was very clean and comfortable with a charming view over the fountain and croquet lawn. The hotel is in a peaceful location and close to the Eden Project , which was the focus of our visit. We were welcomed with tea, coffee and cake (delicious!). Food and service was 5 star, we ate in the restaurant on both evenings of our stay and breakfast was first class too. Didn't try any of the spa treatments but my son and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Overall a very quiet and relaxing weekend. Highly recommended!

Myself and my husband came here for our honeymoon week and got back this saturday just gone. We stayed in the Beatrix Suite and it was brilliant! When we got there we were given a nice cuppa tea and lovely piece of cake which was well needed after a long journey, the staff were immediately welcoming and very warm and the surroundings beautiful. The suite was spotlessly clean and very cosy and just out the way from the main manor house which made it feel quite special, the breakfast was spot on every morning with a good selection and fantastic staff who were very friendly and couldnt do enough for us. Felt quite at home by the end of the week and neither of us wanted to leave! Will definitely recommend and no doubt will return again ourselves.

I found this hotel through tripadvisor and am happy to confirm the positive reviews it has previously received. I stopped off for one night as I had long planned to visit the Eden Project and from start to finish was impressed by the friendly and efficient service. The room was lovely and I just had time to enjoy the indoor pool and heated jacuzzi before dinner. The restaurant decor was old fashioned and a bit formal and with only one other couple dining could have been off putting. But that was more than offset by the friendliness of the service and the beautifully cooked and presented food. After a leisurely breakfast the next morning, which continued the positive tone, I felt really well set up for the home leg of my journey. All in all a very pleasant interlude.

Boscundle Manor is situated in St Austell and is very covenient for the Eden project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The establishment itself is a lovely house surrounded by beautiful gardens and woodland. The rooms are very well appointed with every provision you could hope for. As we only stayed for one night, we were sorry we did not stay for dinner. The food looked very georgeous. Breakfast in the morning was hearty and a perfect start to the stay. The service was excellent with a warm welcome on arrival.

Really delightful old Manor hotel (14 rooms) which has been totally refurbished during the past 10 years to perfection. The staff and owners are very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is very easy yet also very elegant. We stayed in the 'Jasmine' room which is part of a double cottage with another larger suite on the other side. (A little more wall insulation might be good as you can hear the other people talking when it is occupied). The Jasmine is a fabulous large bedroom with a chaise lounge, flat screen TV , ensuite spacious shower room. coffee making facilities..outdoor terrace with table & chairs, and close to the swimming pool down a few steps on the next level. The enormous bed is two large singles zipped together to form double bed (could have done with out the zip, but it is quite acceptable. Gorgeous place to wander around (fabulous flora and fauna) and have a drink and eat. Would have liked a more extensive choice of fish on the menu especially as the whole area is famed for freshly caught fish. Fabulous romantic luxury environment to stay for a relaxing week end. Superb location and I would highly recommend without hesitation.
