“Absolutely Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 January 2014

I have just returned from the most amazing weekend at Boscundle Manor with my boyfriend. From the moment we walked through the front door we were blown away by the amazing surroundings and welcome of Boscundle Manor by the sounds of the crackling fire and laughter. We were shown to our room- the Louisa which is beautifully decorated and was clean and welcoming! The attention to detail made the visit even more special, the small and large robes hanging in the bathroom were just one example of this!
On friday night we dined at the hotel, wow! The atmosphere and food was excellent! We enjoyed canapes in the bar before being taken to our table in the elegant restaurant! The food was presented beautifully and cooked perfectly!
We then enjoyed a bottle of wine in front of the crackling wood fire-bliss!
The hotel is perfectly located with amenities just a short drive away whilst maintaining the air of tranquility and peace.
The hot tub and pool facilities are excellent with towels provided and the out door hot tub perfect to share a bottle of wine under the stars- perfect!
Breakfast on both mornings maintained the high standards set by dinner the previous night.. the buffet and cooked breakfast menu offered variety and selection for all appetites!
The staff were helpful and friendly from arrival to departure- upon which we were very sad to leave and embark on our journey home.
But, we will certainly be returning for future visits... and I recommend that anyone who hasnt been, should definitely make the trip!
Thankyou to the staff for an excellent weekend!

Just returned from 2 nights at the Boscundle. Lovely warm welcome from the moment we arrived. Huge pot of tea & cake sat on a comfy sofa in the lounge with a roaring fire. Perfect for a cold rainy day. We were show to our room, (Anne) by Becky who then showed us the pool, hot tub, bar, breakfast room etc. & explained about breakfast times etc. we were very impressed and felt very special. The radio was on in our room (nice touch!) & white fluffy robes were waiting. Swimming pool & hot tub filled the next couple of hours for us. Soooooo relaxing. We spent a lot of time in there during our stay & on our last morning were in there at 7:30 before breakfast which was wonderful. Everything you could want plus a bit more. The full English was perfectly cooked & the eggs Benedict the best I've ever had. Every member of staff we came across were warm & friendly. We really couldn't fault our stay. We wish we had had dinner in the hotel as the dining room looked stunning. Maybe next time! All in all. We had the best time! In our opinion the owners have it "spot on" there attention to detail is perfect. 10/10 from us.

Room Tip: Don't forget you swimming costume for the hot tub.

Have recently returned from a nights stay at the manor, and had an amazing time! Our stay started with tea and cake in front of the fire in an impressive and comfy lounge. We stayed in the room louisa that spacious and very well decorated, it had an en-suite bathroom with a spa bath.
We ate at the restaurant, the evening started with canapés then we were lead into the dining area for our 4course meal. The food was delicious, the nicest I have ever eaten before and very well presented. The staff were very accommodating and offered to change the dessert when I said that I didn't like the chocolate choice. We also used the pool area, which was lovely especially the hot tub. Wish we had booked another night and we can not wait to return.

Have just returned from a 3 night stay in Boscundle Manor, we had the most wonderful stay! We were welcomed with tea and cake infront of the open fire, then shown to our room, we stayed in the "Anne" room, which was absolutely lovely. It wasn't a massive room, nor was the en suite, but for us it was perfect. The bed and bedding was super comfortable, we slept so well each night! And the room was always warm, which was beyond fab, as I get cold easily, having the heating on in our cosy warm room was heavenly! Loved the Molton Brown toiletries provided, and there was also plenty of teas and coffee in the cupboard, along with extra blankets, a fan, and a fan heater, very welcome and thoughtful, don't get a fan and / or fan heater in many hotels!
We ate in the restaurant one night, and it was absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented too. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were happy to let us swap a tomato for a hash brown too! All staff were very friendly, polite and incredibly helpful, but weren't at all in your face. We loved the indoor pool, and the hot tub as well, both were nice and clean and relaxing as well.
All in all we absolutely loved our stay at Boscundle, and cannot wait to return!

Room Tip: We stayed in the "Anne" room, was a lovely room, nice and warm, with a big comfy bed, the...

Charming bedroom, helpful nice staff, comfortable hotel in nice old house, not too pretentious.
Warm welcome with tea and scone, wonderful Chritmas cake the next day. We were attending a wedding on New Years Eve in the area, so did not eat there, but the dining room look very pretty.

We attended a half spa stay for my Sister's 50th Burthday. We were met by a lovely young lady called Jay and were offered Bucks Fizz in a reception area and escorted by her to the Spa. We were astounded to find that Jay was our Therapist, Receptionist, and waitress. All our treatments were exceptional and we would return to use her services. However, the fact that she meeted and greeted us, performed all of our treatments(party of six) served our lunch and cleared the tables. Tidied the spa for the afternoon party and performed all the above duties for another party of six in the afternoon, seemed extremely unfair on her part, in this day and age. I would point out that she was extremely welcoming and professional in her treatment of us, such a lovely lady, but we all felt slightly embarressed that she did not have the support of extra staff, management to help with serving, clearing tables etc.

We have just returned from a Travelzoo booking.
We can't fault this hotel at all. We were welcomed with cake and tea and shown around the grounds.
Once shown our room it was amazing , massive bed, great decor and very clean. If you book this hotel we recommend upgrading to the Elizabeth suite as it is defiantly worth the money.
We had the 4-corse meal in the evening and we were a bit worried as it was food we hadn't tried before, but it was presented and tasted so good. Service was also great! The drinks are on the dear side but you would expect it from this type of hotel.
The breakfast was fab, great choice and all fresh. Couldn't fault this at all.
We used the pool and hot tub early evening which was really romantic and so nice- it certainly makes the hotel.
We would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone if you are looking for a romantic, chilled out country hotel.
