We were staying just outside of St Austell and Wetherspoons is always good for a reasonably priced meal. The pub was relatively busy but I always think that's a good sign that the place is good. The pub was clean and the service okay. They did start to stack tables away around us though even though it was early evening. It made us feel a bit like they wanted us out quickly. I had nachos to start and the gourmet chicken burger as my main. Both were really nice.

We had spent the afternoon at the Eden Project and thought we would pop into St Austell for something to eat.
Could only find this Weatherspoon pub so as everyone was hungry we thought we give it a good.
On the night we visited there was a long wait for drinks at the bar and food.
Went for the Thursday night curry special - which was very average.
Disappointed that there was no local St Austell beers for sale.

Had evening meal here a few nights. Hubby could not believe the price of the beer 40p cheaper than at home and the 2 meals for £8.95 gave plenty of choice. Staff very pleasant.

Just had a months holiday in St Austell staying with family. Really enjoyed strolling into the town centre and having an excellent coffee in Spoons most mornings. Best value coffee we had in the UK.
Can't comment on the food as we only ever had coffee.

We recently visited the Rann Wartha having caught the train from Newquay via Parr. Very impressed with the seating outside and nice and airy inside as well. The duty manager and staff were very helpful and a credit to Wetherspoons. We had a nice lunch and I enjoyed a couple of pints of good Cornish beer. It was our first visit to the Rann Wartha and if we are passing again we will make a beeline straight there.
