I have eaten here for lunch a few times and always been impressed with the food and service. I like the decor and they even have cookery books on the table to browse when you are waiting for your meal. Would recommend.

Not being from St Austell, we had only visited Smorgers once before for dinner and had a fantastic time. Being back in town we wanted to return but to try the breakfast menu.
Arriving bright and early (well 1030 isn't that early I suppose), we were greeted by a smiley friendly server who presented us with the breakfast menu. Having being previously impressed with the dinner menu, we were a little disappointed with the choice of breakfast, however on closer inspection of the menu it included everything you wanted, bacon sandwiches, toast, a range of herbal teas and even a full fry up done Cornish style! What more would you want for a breakfast anyway?
Choosing the Lincolnshire sausage sandwich, I was not disappointed on its arrival. Lovely thick local bread, delicious sausage, it was the perfect sandwich! And at £3.95 a very reasonable price!
The only thing that let the breakfast down was the confusion with the scrambled eggs. If you order scrambled eggs with the fry up it costs a little more, which we were more than happy to do. However on charging extra you'd expect the standard fried egg as well as the addition of scrambled egg but it in fact replaced it. We didn't dwell on this too much as the breakfast was delicious. We even returned a few days later for dinner and had equally good service!
Having retuned home now, we can't wait to come back to St Austell and try out the Smorgers lunch menu!

I came with my husband for a late lunch. We ordered the sharing board for £14.99 with cheese, bread, olives and salad. It was absolutely delightful and displayed on a huge board. We were very impressed with the presentation and it was scrumptious. The staff were very friendly. The food coming from the kitchen looked lovely.

Almost empty when we got there and the staff were cleaning up. Great coffee and panini, staff were excellent. Offered Wi-Fi password when asked. Left to our own devices with minimal interruption. Maybe we showed up during a lull in business, can't say, but all in all it was a pleasant atmosphere.
