Although the Eden Project closes at around 6pm, you can either stay on to eat here or even come in after the main site closes. The Med Terrace is down in the Mediterranean Biome so you will need to walk down to it if you visit 'after hours' but don't worry about getting back up as they provide a minibus for security reasons, (they don't want people wandering around the site in the dark!)

Because it is in the Med Biome, you really do get the feeling of being abroad - the flora of the biome is all around you with the warmth & feeling of space. On the evening that we visited we had a tremendous thunderstorm but we were safe & snug sitting on the 'terrace' of the cafe.

The menu is fairly small but quite representative of med cuisine - main courses of pasta, pizza & fish - with some specials as well - all at a very reasonable price. The homemade Focaccia is a must but don't fill yourself up on it too much! Not an extensive wine list but something for most people again at a decent price. Service is excellent - very friendly, attentive & cheery.

As another reviewer has said, this is a great find & we will be back although we understand that the Terrace will not be open in the evening during the WInter months. It is also important (although not necessarily essential) to pre-book a table if you visit in the evening.

We recently ate here whilst attending one of the Eden Sessions. The food was ok, although nothing special. Our main complaint was the portion sizes. Having seen some starters come out which appeared huge we decided not to have a starter and opted for a main course and dessert. When the main course of paella came it was disappointingly small with only half a plate of paella and two large pieces of bread filling the rest of the plate. The paella itself was quite tasty but nowhere near enough in terms of quantity.
The dessert of tiramisu on the other hand was huge, but was not particularly tasty or tiramisu-like!

The meal itself was reasonably priced and the service was very efficient and friendly.

The Mediterranean Biome at The Eden Project faithfully reproduces a garden on the Italian coast, temperature as well. So, what a fantastic idea to reproduce an authentic Italian 'Al Fresco' terrace restaurant there. The food is sublime. A small, but well chosen selection of dishes (including divine, generous anti-pasti platters you imagine you'll never finish....but somehow, do), the best pizzas this side of Milan, gorgeous puddings, and an impressive wine list. The ambience is relaxed and friendly, the service charming, and the bill; surprisingly modest.
A real treat.

Have visited the Eden project on many occasion but this is a new venture situated within the mediterranean Biome. During the day it serves as a café food, of an evening it transforms into a wonderful restaurant. We were welcomed by the maitre d' which was warm and engaging. We were seated and informed who our waitress would be for the evening. She came over almost immediately and gave us menus for food and drink, also informing us of local wine and ales available.
Drinks served promptly and was given ample time to peruse the menu with no pressure, just as well I changed my mind five times due to the options. although the evening was cold inside the biome it was very comfortable in shirt sleeves. I did notice that some client were using wraps to keep warm, provided by the restaurant. Food was delicious and reasonable as were the drinks. could not fault the service, pleasant quick and professional. Although the car park was quite a way from the biome and the walk back would've been all up hill, the restaurant provided a shuttle bus back to the carparks so this would be ideal venue for those attending with disabilities. Going back to Cornwall in November and will definitely return here. Many thanks to all
