Hadn' heard of this place until we were driving past it. Pulled into the car park on a whim and delighted by the unique and unusally displays set out in an interesting setting. Well worth a visit.

Both indoor and outdoor activities to keep young ones happy. Plenty of outdoor trails and quests for the young ones. (Wellies good idea if raining)

Very informative for the older ones with history and interactive sections

Cafe attached which dosnt rip you off with over expensive scones. Prices resonable and a selection of home made items on the menu.

Lots of car parking

Lots to keep the kids happy and interested, as well as plenty of education for the inquisitive - amazing view into the working pit at the end too. Our 3 and 5 year olds loved the teddy bear hunt and adventure trail, and the story of china clay production kept boring old dad happy

A great mix of walks and exhibits, plus you are fully dog friendly which is always a problem when on holiday.
We loved the displays which were all accompanied by good easy to read descriptions.
The walks through your woodland and up to view the working quarry were excellent, well signed and also accessible to all.
Your staff, in particular the lady who was sat doing the quizzes and the find the hidden teddy bear trails was really nice as an initial interaction point. She made us very welcome chatted whilst we sorted the dogs out, and also assured us you were "100% dog friendly".
A great all round experience. Highly recommended and possible to spend a good few hours exploring and learning.

Our family visit had members from 67 years old to 8 years old. The museum is so well laid out and presented that there was something for everyone. Not only did it give a very good history of the china clay industry of Cornwall from earliest times but it includes a trail leading to a viewing platform where you can watch a working pit. This puts everything else in perspective and shows what a big operation it is. Would go again!
