“Beautiful location and views, great for a groups and little dogs holiday”
Reviewed 12 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We stayed at Eden Horizon on the April/May Bank Holiday weekend for a hen party. 9 women and a little terrier. The place was welcoming and amazingly equipped with everything you could possibly need. Views were stunning and great location for beached and Lost Garden of Heligen.

Great welcome pack of cream teas and even supplied essentials such as milk and butter for when we arrived. Plenty of sleeping space (although we struggled to find our rooms once allocated as there were so many - not a criticism). Dining room was perfect for various hen activities, one being pop up ping pong, and the garden is beautifully kept.

Would stay here again for sure and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area!

“Don't go if u want your deposit back. Good location but sneaky landlord.”

Landlord sneakily came up with obscure claims to keep my deposit. 3 dots on the carpet (barely visible in a picture sent to me later). Charged (read:fined) me for not recycling and amazingly went through my all my binned garbage to confirm. Funnily enough she sneakily tried to pin a "mysterious" airer on me too. And yes you have to take her word for it as she takes the deposit in advance.

All this after the property was left icy cold on xmas eve when we checked in and were left without heating for 5 hours (took overnight to heat up the whole house). Ironically (and quite incredibly) it was the landlord who complained afterward of setting the temperature setting too high. Imagine receiving a complaint after the cold temperature has already ruined your xmas eve dinner and my infant daughter fell ill due to cold.

At Edens Horizon, we pride ourselves with the personal touch and are therefore sad to see such comments on a public forum when we haven't heard from you since your stay two months ago. We apologised then for the fact that the heating wasn't on when you arrived but we were in close contact on Christmas Eve to help you override the timer. We accept full responsibility for this. Ahead of your stay last December you signed a rental agreement so you would be aware of the other matters you refer to. We are glad you enjoyed your stay but disappointed we did not communicate further.

“Lovely, warm and well equipped”
Reviewed 27 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We had a wonderful weekend break at Edens Horizon. As there were so many of us we made use of both sides of the house. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed to cook fabulous breakfasts and evening meals. My bed was really comfy, and it was great to have two baths in the house. Although the house is spacious it is also very cosy, it was lovely to relax in the lounge with an old episode of Faulty Towers from the DVD and video collection! I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Thank-you Kate!

Such a great space. The family have put generations of love and care into this home and it amazing to be able to enjoy this as very well catered for guests. It could provide the perfect accommodation for so many needs as it is really versatile. Once you've stayed I'm confident you'll come back again and again especially with so many great spots to explore locally. It really is a home away from home.

“Beautiful home from home with stunning views”
Reviewed 1 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Kate is an excellent hostess, ensuring that all was ready for our arrival. It was a family holiday for my mum's 80th birthday and nothing was too much trouble: directions, catering for the party, even sourcing a carer to look after my elderly dad while he was away from home. The reception rooms are spacious and comfy , all with stunning views across the valley. The bedrooms were large and comfy and there was plenty of room for eleven of us, without being on top of each other. The bathrooms were similarly well presented and enough space for the whole family. The location is perfect for the Cornish highlights and we manage to cater for over 50 guests at the party very comfortably. The beautifully well tended garden was an added bonus for the younger members of the family to enjoy. A lovely place for a large family to have a holiday together.
