“The most perfect cottage.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Palm cottage is the most lovely place to stay. You feel welcome as soon as you enter, The owners have thought about everything you would need and equipped the house well. The cottage is as it is in the pictures so no nasty surprises. They even welcomed our dog with treats and a ball.
Palm cottage is in a very quiet village with rural surroundings so perfect if your wanting to get away for some peace....but within easy reach of some of the most amazing beaches and coves.(church cove and Kynance cove been favourites). You are also near a major supermarket for all your supplies.
The pub opposite the house serves excellent meals for when you fancy a break from cooking. I could go on and on about this house.....would I recommend it to everyone. Yes I absolutely would. You will not be disappointed. Already planning 2 weeks next year.

Thank you for your kind and eloquent comments about our cottage and the surrounding area. Kynance Cove is also our family's favourite beach with its numerous rock pools at low tide. Pleased you liked The Prince of Wales pub, so convenient and extremely good value.
We look forward to you taking another holiday at Palm Cottage in the near future.

“very very good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

A very well presented and equipped property, we have stayed at several different propperties in the past and this was easily the best, upon arrival we were greeted by a very well kept garden, into the house which was pristinely clean, the property by far catered for my family of 6, the weather was best described as poor but we were able to read books and play games which are inside, the only gripe we had was that the access to the parking area was too small to get our car into, in fairness though we have a volkswagen caravelle which is on the large side! a normal car would fit no problem, many thanks for a great time

“A Sheer Delight!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

The travel fatigue from a 7 hour journey from London immediately evaporated upon setting foot in Palm Cottage. There were squeals of excitement from the children as they explored the living areas and bedrooms.
The cottage is brimming with character and each room's ambiance is enhanced by rustic furniture and tasteful decorative touches. The living room, with its warm fireplace, wooden ceiling beams, bookshelves stocked with books and boardgames is an inviting place to relax in. The kitchen has a generous supply of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The back graden is pretty and spacious and adjoins a farm; the children quite enjoyed beckoning cows!
The cottage is situated in a quiet village and is ideal for exploring the beautiful Lizard peninsula. We loved visiting the Minack Theatre, the Porthcurno beach and the Kynance Cove.

Thank you for your generous comments about the cottage, garden and village during your recent stay there earlier this month.
We, too, love the Minack Theatre and visit there whenever we are at the cottage.

“Beautiful cottage and perfect base for this stunning part of Cornwall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

A very well presented cottage, lovely garden and private drive located in this beautiful part of Cornwall. Just a short drive to Helford, St Anthony and stunning walks like Frenchman's Creek. Also very easy reach to coves and beaches (Kynance Cove, Church Cove, Kennack Sands etc). 40 mins from Falmouth (recommend Maritime Museum) and Truro. Many places to eat, especially the Prince of Wales pub over the road!

“ideal peaceful well equipped and cared for character cottage”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

This cottage is in a terrace of character cottages in the centre of Newton- in St Martin, a tiny village within a short distance of Helston. It Is very quiet and there is a friendly well-stocked shop at the garage ,a minutes walk away. The pub opposite serves good bar food and excellent restaurant food. The garden behind the cottage is secluded and there are delightful sheltered spots in which to sit ,sit and read or to have outdoor meals. Inside the cottage is comfortable, well equipped and tastefully furnished . Meals can be eaten in the kitchen or in the beautiful beamed dining end of thre front reception room where there is a lovely open fire The bathroom is downstairs and hot water is plentiful
There are lots of nearby attractions We revisited the Flambards theme Park to see the lovely reconstructed victorian village and a wedding gown display but there are lots of theme park attractions for children. The Seal sanctuary at Gweek, the Helford river estuary and Porthleven were other lovely days out and we enjoyed a visiy to a craft exhilition at Trelowarren country house /estate Beautiful beaches at Poldhu and Gunwalloe and a lovely walk to Polurrian across the cliffs are all great. Poldu has good facilties for families with an excellent beach cafe ,toilets and lifeguards
The rental for this cottage is exceptionally good value and we have visited it 4 or so times in the last 6/7 years at different ends of the season and with visitors from abroad.Itwould not be suitable for people with difficulty in walking because of the steep stairs and the downstairs bathroom but otherwise we cannot recommendit highly enough
