“Very welcoming and good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 September 2013 via mobile

We ate here twice during our holiday with our dog in tow. The fish specials were impressive and the rest of the menu just right after a long day walking. My husband enjoyed the local ales and we both commented on the friendly welcome. Somebody commented previously that there is not a dessert menu but freshly made cakes are offered......I highly recommend the Black Forest cake!!!!
We'll be back if we are in the area again.

“Easier by the Yard”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 September 2013

We have been visiting the three Tuns for several years and the it appears to have a new lease of life this year. We were diving late on Saturday so stayed for the live band on Friday and a couple for the road afterwards. We returned on Sunday and Monday. As we had finished diving we got them to take down the yard of ale and had a successful try at it full of Doom Bar - brilliant night.

“Warm Welcome 7 Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2013

We didn't stay at this hotel (but were staying nearby) but as soon as we walked in we felt at home. My partner & I tried one of the local beers (Middle) and it was very tasty, so we had a second drink, (we were in walking distance from out cottage) We decided to have a meal to celebrate my partners birthday. She had the freshly caught Monkfish and I had rump steak, both were excellent with my partner (who is a vegetarian) waxed lyrical about the fish and also the way the vegetables were cooked. We returned for another meal which was equally good and everyone was so friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone.

“A little diamond of a find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 September 2013

Whilst recently holidaying in neightouring Coverack, in an attempt to find a local establishment offering Sky Sports we stumbled across The Three Tuns offering exactly that ..... and more. Having read the menu outside it encouraged us to dine there too. The new owners, from our neck of the woods incidentally, immediately gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The menu is extensive and the food ..... simply delicious. The steak, chicken and ribs combo is huge and mouthwateringly delicious. All steaks on each visit were cooked exactly as ordered and the accompanying fries/wedges are homemade, something nowadays we've struggled to find. The salad dressing is the chef's own, again, delicious. We visited three times during our stay and the standard of food and hospitality was 5* on each occasion. We definitely intend visiting again on our next trip to South West Cornwall and we wish Dawn, Chris and all the staff the very best for the future.

We ate here twice in 3 days. Great steak, chips and burgers. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, great attentive staff and fabulous owners who worked really hard to make everyone feel welcome. Well worth a visit.
