A beautiful site with lots of space and countryside walks. Very quiet park. No loud music. Really comfy bed . Very dog friendly and lovely restaurant/take away. Just can't wait to go back. Bliss!

Lovely family and dog friendly site, our dog was given a welcome doggy box with goodies in on arrival and us a bottle of wine and £40 to use in stargazey restaurant which was lovely! Hot tub was great was in every night especially welcomed after a looe to polperro hike one day! Staff are the friendliest and best we have had on one of these types of holidays we go on each year. The dog walking field is great although it is v steep. We visited Eden project, hang loose, the lost gardens of heligan, seaton beach, looe, polperro, and would recommend them all. Food in restaurant is great and I’ve got the soft play area to help keep little one’s entertained!

Firstly the accommodation was ready early - bonus, apart from we had a broken windscreen on the way down and had to have it fixed, so didn't get in early after all, although this was no fault of Tregoad.

On arrival I was disappointed to see that, as we were the caravan nearest to reception, we were bordered by septic tanks - we therefore had to keep our blinds/curtains shut all week. This could easily have been alleviated by putting up screening. The tanks also made a noise all night (like pressure building up and discharging) which kept my husband awake (but not me as I am hard of hearing). Also there is a light on all night in the septic tank area, which shines directly into the bedroom, also disturbing your sleep.

There is also no allocated parking for this caravan, despite one being available for all other caravans. We did mention this and were told that as the site was not busy there should not be a problem. if the site was not busy why were we put in a caravan right next to the septic tanks? Again this could have been easily alleviated by marking the space nearest to the caravan in the car park that we had to use.

Even though the two bed Superior caravan was sold as sleeps 6, there are only enough chairs around the table for 4 people to eat and also only enough settee/comfy chairs for 4 people - so I am not sure how this can be a 6 person caravan.

There was no evening entertainment (apart from the Saturday night), so we had to resort to watching the television. However, someone had programmed the television to 1970, which meant that there was no programme guide (my sister-in-law sorted this out for me) and the subtitles were intermittent, which meant as I am hard of hearing I could not follow the programmes. Also someone has programmed certain programmes, so the television would come on at random times while we were out, and even through the night.

There is no shaver point at all in the caravan, so my husband had to 'go commando' with his facial hair. We did ask for an adaptor at reception but were told there was not an adaptor on site.

The plus points are that the view from the patio door was fabulous - you could not have wanted a better view.

The caravan was lovely and bright and clean.

The hot water was plentiful and the shower was lovely and the whole bathroom was a great size.

The caravan was equipped with everything you could want for a holiday, so no complaints there at all.

The heating was lovely and warm when needed, as the weather was a little damp and changeable.

There is a bus stop just outside reception which we used frequently. We were told by reception that we had to walk down to the main road to catch the number 10, but it comes right up to reception so there was no need.

The meals we had at Stargazy were a little expensive but the food was really well cooked and delicious. The desserts were a little skimpy though.

The whole site was well cared for and lovely and quiet. We went during school time so there were little, if any, children there.

We had to report a smoke alarm that kept going off randomly and this was mended very quickly by a lovely gentleman.

Overall, apart from being next to the septic tanks and no allocated parking, the holiday was a great success and very enjoyable.

Room tip: Make use of the bus to save money on petrol/diesel and the heavy parking charges in Looe.

Honest feedback. The site was lovely, lovely views and in a good location. We arrived feeling positive, the team were friendly but when we got to the caravan we were disappointment. Firstly the location the only view we had for two weeks was a fence, and the hot tube had no privacy. I went to complain but I was told that they were full despite offering to pay for a upgrade but we could not be moved. I did check the website and saw that there were late availability still available for what we had booked!! We had booked a superior with a hot tub but we would not say it was a "Superior". The net curtains in the bedroom were ripped and tatty, the caravan slept 4 but there was only seating for 3, one of the chairs must of broken and had not been replaced. The settee was knackered, it bowed in the middle so we used the pillows from the spare room to make it comfortable, the tv location for a small tv was to high and the decking around the hot tub was broken which we did report to one of the team who checked the hot tub but nothing was done. We had some other issues but these were sorted out quicky. The team were helpful, got a privacy panel put up around the decking and the caravan was clean and the hospilality packs in the caravan were good its just shame that the caravan was well worn and not in a good location which was a shame.
