Moyles Farm

We had an absolutely great few days staying in the Mill house at Moyles farm and couldn’t believe how amazing the house was. It has everything one needs and very comfortable and welcoming. A great place and if you are thinking og booking do not delay you will not be disappointed.

We stayed in the Linhay. As at the date of this review there have been 15 five star reviews and I am pleased to add another one.

The owners are very pleasant and helpful.

Linhay is a converted cart shed, effectively a rebuild and fitted out to a high standard. The aspect is to the south and west and this means the cottage gets plenty of sun and it is very nice to sit outside in the sun with some protection from the wind. 2 sets of doors open onto the seating area.

Everything you might need in a cottage has been thought of. There is wifi, decent TV and radio. There is a gas hob with electric oven/grill, large fridge/freezer. The central heating is effective and also provides plenty of hot water. In the bathroom there is a monsoon type shower and the water pressure is such that it works properly, there is also a large heated towel rail. Other than the bathroom it is open plan accommodation split into 3 areas namely kitchen/dining, sitting and bedroom which is ideal as this is a cottage designed for a couple to stay in. For cooler times there is a log burner, we did not use it as the cottage was warm enough.

This is a very relaxing place to stay in a beautiful spot.

What can I say that has not already been said? Would I recommend to friends and family - absolutely (as I already have!). Amanda has created at Moyles Farm something for everyone - the cute Shepherds hut for love struck couples; the Linhay for couples plus possibly a little one; the cottage for families (with a view to die for); and the Mill House for sophisticated 2 family gatherings. Something for everyone!
The only things that could be improved? The weather (in March!) - and a pub within easy walking distance!! But nevertheless we had a fab time - and will be back!

Room Tip: I'm sure that the others are equally as fantastic as the Linhay - but the cottage is the one wit...

Just arrived home from a lovely weekend at The Linhay for my partner's birthday. Perfect for a quiet romantic getaway. We enjoyed a warm welcome, a well equipped place to stay and a fantastic walk along the coast. Couldn't recommend it enough!

As enthusiastic dog owners, it’s always our mission to find holiday accommodation that welcomes four-legged friends as well as us two-legged folk! It’s an even greater mission to find accommodation of a luxurious standard that is dog-friendly.

My husband and I (plus our trusty hound) have recently spent 3 days/nights at The Linhay on Moyles Farm. Situated in a spectacular rural setting, with rustic countryside all around – this impeccably presented (and fully equipped) split-level converted cart barn is both highly comfortable and aesthetically-pleasing (these two rarely go hand-in-hand!)

Every element of The Linhay is finished to a 5* standard – not least the blissful shower and exceptionally comfortable bed. In fact – it would be all too easy not to even venture outside for the entirety of your stay. Of course, this would be a great shame as it is perfectly located with surfer’s favourite Polzeath beach in close proximity and the stunning natural beauty of Constantine and Boobys Bay just a short drive away. We also took the ferry (also dog-friendly) from Rock to the beautiful Cornish harbour town of Padstow, as well as visiting the picturesque fishing village Port Isaac.

With a plethora of perennial countryside walks literally on your doorstep – plus the welcoming heat of blazing log fires in a wealth of local countryside pubs – Moyles Farm really is a retreat for all seasons.

Its very important to us that dogs are able to come and enjoy Cornwall as well as their owners. So glad you had such a good time. Come back soon.

We stayed in the shepherds hut it was fantastic, so comfy. Everything was so well thought out. We had the best holiday we have had in years. If you want a very quiet beautiful location that's near so much to do go to Moyles Farm. We walked to Rock and to the start of all the walks we did, including catching the water taxi to Padstow several times, just left the car parked up next to the log cabin with the pool table which we used of an evening. It was wonderful holiday.

We stayed at The Linhay for 3 nights in May, it is open plan and very stylish, lovely quiet location with amazing views. One of the things I noticed the most was Amanda has made it ‘home from home’ with everything you need for a self-catering place. She has thought of everything (even paracetmol which came in handy one night!), I honestly couldn’t think of anything she had forgotten. There is also a detailed pack when you arrive at the property which tells you everything practical and makes good recommendations about where to eat/shop/visit etc – all very well thought out.

Also, Amanda is obviously super organised and the booking process was definitely worth mentioning. I sent a few emails beforehand and she answered these really promptly and with all the details I needed. Very good service throughout our stay, thank you again Amanda.
