A superb location in a fantastic conversion. So spacious and airy yet cosy and intimate at the same time! Can't recommend a break here enough.

We stayed at the Mill at Mesmear in February with our six month old daughter and four friends. We absolutely loved it..! The house is gorgeous, it is so spacious and relaxing - you feel like you are on holiday as soon as you walk in the door. The bedrooms all have lovely bathrooms and the communal spaces - kitchen, beautiful sitting room with log burning stove - are great. Plus the boys loved the games room which is on site.

Mesmear worked well for us because there is lots to do on the doorstep and something for everyone. So we went for some lovely walks along the coast. It was also great exploring Padstow (with great places to eat), we went to the Eden Project and tried the Cowshed Spa...but there was loads more to do which maybe we'll get to do next time. As a previous reviewer has said the owners are wonderful as they make you welcome and are really helpful - e.g. great tips on fun things to do, places to eat, where to buy fish and even lobster..

We would love to go back and definitely recommend Mesmear. Our daughter was a bit young to collect eggs from the chickens..! But older kids would probably enjoy and the kids' bedroom is lovely.

Room Tip: We didn't try the pool.. bit chilly in Feb... But looked nice for summer.

We loved it at Mesmear, it is a really fantastic place. We stayed in the calfs house with our son, and the experience was really enjoyable. The owners are really nice, they organised food for us on our arrival, the pool was perfect, and our son loved the alpacas and collecting the eggs in the morning. You will enjoy staying here.

My husband and I first visited The Barn in Nov 08 for a relaxing break away from the stresses of life and work, and we couldn't believe how amazing it was. The location is lovely, far away from people and buildings, with a field of sheep and lambs outside. It's not right on the coast, but it's only a few minutes in the car.

The Barn itself is heavenly, with lots of luxuries such as underfloor heating, a state of the art kitchen, a gorgeous wood burning stove, the fluffiest towels ever seen and a very comfy bed. The fittings are all top of the range, and there is lots of space.

We loved it so much, we went back three months later and we weren't dissapointed.

One of the best features of the owners, is that they make you welcome, and then leave you be - apart from the delivery of more logs and eggs fresh from the hens that morning if you wish!

Also, there is a games room attached with table tennis, air hockey and table football - my husband loved it!
