Absolutely terrible experience, the hotel is under new ownership and has gone way downhill, we wouldn't return here again if the hotel paid us to stay.

Where do I start...

We waited 1 hr for a starter at dinner, then another hr for desert. The atmosphere at dinner was border line cringy watching 1 man trying to wait on around 30 guests all eating 3 course meals with only 1 chef in the kitchen it was a painfully slow process.

Our room was above the swimming pool plant room and the noise of pumps ect kept us awake all night as well as flashing lights.

The bar wasn't open as the hotel doesn't have an alcohol licence at present but we wasn't told this at the time of booking.

A man unknown to reception entered our locked room at 9am in the morning whilst my wife was undressed. Reception wasn't aware of who he was but he had keys to every room which seemed odd.

Reception staff were abrupt and rude when we discussed our issues, 1 girl was sitting with her foot up on her chair which looked slobby and very unprofessional.

We had an extended checkout on our room but decided to check out early not having our breakfast or using the facilities as we couldn't bare another minute there.

Overall it was a huge waste of time, money and we are left feeling very disappointed, Hustyns used to be a top luxury hotel with very professional staff but oh how things have changed there.
I have emailed a complaint regarding our experience but I am yet to receive a reply.

Room tip: Not above the pool plant room as it's very noisy at night.

Visited as a large group, stayed in the villas. It was absolutely beautiful and I’m glad we travelled down. Only downside is there’s minimal network but the good side is there WiFi. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Exceeded our expectations.

6 of us (adults) stayed in a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom lodge for the weekend. On arrival we were greeted with fresh bread, eggs, milk, orange juice, tea, coffee, sugar and shortbread. A minor grumble would be that these were not Cornish products, but they were a lovely surprise.

Our lodge, number 28, is furnished stylishly throughout, and felt very contemporary and comfortable. There is plenty of cutlery, crockery and glassware in the lovely kitchen.

The master bedroom, on the first floor is huge, with a Super King Size bed, balcony and en-suite that boasts an air bath, his and her sinks, and shower. The real treat was finding a sauna in the room! Both of the other bedrooms are roomy, one twin and one double with a modern 4 poster bed. The 4 poster room has a walk in shower in the modern en-suite, while the twin room uses the main bathroom, this is very roomy and well fitted out. Both bathrooms have under floor heating.

The property was clean, apart from the odd cobweb, which as we all know can appear overnight. The towels, toilet rolls and kitchen towels are of excellent quality.

An unexpected bonus was the restuaruant as we had not expected it to be open. The menu is limited but there is something for everyone. And, although it won’t be winning any culinary rewards any time soon, the food was perfectly edible and saved us taxi-Ing it into Wadebridge.

The real treat was the swimming pool, jacuzzi and free classes such as Pilates, Hiit, boot camp etc. And on top of this there is the spa and their range of treatments.

All in all, this is a great place for a complete getaway from it all treat (it is quite remote but set in beautiful countryside and great for walking).

You will definitely come away feeling more refreshed than when you arrived.

Room tip: Lodge 28 is fab.

we stayed at the hotel for two nights for a bit of relaxation. Our room was good, had everything we needed. The pool area is great. the down side was the food and drink. we weren't planning on going out on the sunday evening as the drive in isn't the easiest, but as no food is served , we had no choice. No drinks available at the moment either.

My very special wife decided to take me away for being so amazing!
Usually stay in bude this was ultimately decided by my wife.

Nice hotel with a great leisure facilities and pool!
Rooms are very clean with a good size tv and free water in bottles.
Reception is welcoming especially the dog.

Slightly annoyed at the restaurant as you can eat but cannot drink as they have no bar....
Food was great.
I had the Spanish chicken which was handsome and my wife had the garlic mushrooms and hustyns chicken also very good. Nice waiter who looked very presentable and had charm!

Breakfast was very nice although the young guy waiting on was looking very sleepy and uninspired. Heavy night?

Anyway little hidden gem will be nice to see it full operational.

Ciao!
