Weekend away

Hotel room was what we expected
Very spacious,Staff were very friendly and helpful,it was a relaxing weekend away for me and my partner
Only snag was due to the location both could not make or receive any calls on our mobile phones although the Hotel did offer free WiFi

Lovely evening with the girls

Went for a lovely evening dinner with some friends at the restaurant in hustyns, the food was fantastic, the waitresses were very friendly and the atmosphere was great!
Overall a brilliant evening would highly recommend and will definitely be going back

Fabulous Hotel

First time we have stayed at this hotel and what a fabulous 3 days we had. Room was very spacious and clean , the staff were very helpful and polite. The one problem was finding it down the country lanes, but we did arrive in the evening. Spoke to staff about this and they assured us we took a wrong turn at the beginning. Better to arrive in day light.
Will definitely be returning.

Room tip: Southside rooms are quiter

Sorry to hear you got caught out by country lanes, we do try and advise people navigate to Wadebridge and then follow the sat nav from there as this is the most direct route.

Aweful

Firstly I think it worth mentioning, the staff at this hotel were pushing hard for good reviews, it was not at all busy, and they had maybe 1 staff per 3 guests so no excuse for poor service!
The food, was absolutely awwful. I had better school dinners as a child, the only good meal out of 6 was a pizza! We waited forever for our first round of drinks. 35-45 minutes maybe!
The barmen were rude and 1 seemed to think he owned the place, and they spent far too much time flirting with the waitresses and the spa girl to be any good for the customers!
Coffee, aweful. Wine list, aweful. Service awful. But hey, if you write them a good trip advisor the Boiz will see what they can do about a free shot of sours???!!!

Hi Jenny,

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us regarding your stay- as you mention we do really encourage all feedback, both positive and negative. Unfortunately on this occasion there has been a misunderstanding regarding offering free shots in exchange for good reviews. After investigating I can confirm the conversation you overheard was between the bar staff, and an off duty member of staff who resides on site. She was enjoying some drinks and friendly banter with colleagues regarding reviews. We have since spoken to the staff involved and highlighted how they need to be aware of how their conversations may be misconstrued when guests overhear.
In regards to the food, had we been made aware you were unhappy with your meals at the time we would always try to offer you an alternative and resolve any issues there and then. Unfortunately by the time we receive the tripadvisor reviews its usually a little late for us to be able to fix.
The staff have confirmed you did have a little wait for you drinks, which we do apologise for this and have fed back to all the relevant staff that this is not the service we aim for.
Again, thank you for your feedback, we hope that should you return to us in future you would have a much better experience.

High expectations exceeded!

My partner and I were booked in on the 'indulgence escape' deal for one night and the experience was far from disappointing. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff who checked us in and showed us to our room, which was upgraded twice for us. We made use of the pool and gym facilities which were of a good quality. Although on the smaller side, the gym was clean with all working equipment to use. We then both had a freestyle massage at the spa which was made a very enjoyable experience by the welcoming spa staff who were there to make our experience as relaxing as possible. When we dined at the restaurant in the evening, there was only one serving staff member which made the process feel slightly unorganised however they were still as helpful as they could be on their own. Overall we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the whole place was very clean and tidy with very friendly staff who created a very relaxing environment.

We would like to offer our apologies that your evening meal service was affected by our extreme staffing shortage.
