We Chose this holiday park as we were looking for a relatively quiet park within walking distance to the beach, with playground, indoor pool, shop and amusement arcade. The proximity to the beach and coastal path particularly appealed to us and we were not disappointed. The views from the park are stunning! We arrived early and our caravan wasn't quite ready, so we grabbed some drinks from the reasonably priced bar and enjoyed them on the bar terrace whilst soaking up the sun and relaxing atmosphere. We were a little concerned when we arrived at our caravan as it smelled of stale cigarette smoke, despite being cleaned and the windows left open. We asked if there was another van available and the friendly and helpful lady showed us to another caravan on the edge of the playground much to our 8 year old daughter's delight. The caravan was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. We were very pleased with the efficiency and helpfulness of the reception staff on arrival and throughout. During our stay we enjoyed a delicious cream tea at the picturesque village of Cadgwith, a well earned treat after our coastal walk, lots of beautiful scenery and flora and fauna to take in along the way. The highlight of our holiday was our visit to the Minack open air theatre near Penzanze. We saw 'Far from the Madding Crowed' against the breathtaking Cornish panorama. A very moving and memorable experience and well worth the drive. Our 8 year old loved Flambards theme park, no queuing, good selection of rides, with the roller coaster, Skyraker and Thunderbolt being our daughter's favourites. We used our entrance ticket to return on another day for free and also enjoyed the Victorian museum, fantastic attention to detail. Good value for money considering we went on the rides several times and returned for free! Much fun was had in the maze at Glendurgan National Trust gardens, it's harder to solve than you think! Also visited The Seal Sanctuary booked through the Sea Acres reception staff using a discount. An informative and heart warming experience for any animal lover. Sea acres makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area and we would certainly recommended it if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay with superb views of the Cornish Coast. The only improvement we feel the park could make is at the restaurant. The food was very reasonably priced, but you do get what you pay for. Some of the food seemed low quality and frozen. It was a shame as it was nice to see some local produce on the menu, and good choice. We would have preferred to have paid a few pounds more and get better quality (especially the chips, which were pretty bland and rubbery!) Not great for foodies but ok if feeding a family on a budget.
A lovely park, beautiful part of the world, nice staff and clean, spacious caravans. A wonderful family holiday had by all! Highly recommended!
